Hi everyone! Nice to meet you. You can call me Marasi, I'm 23, live in West Yorkshire and work in teh creative industry I'm pretty new to steampunk, but probably like a lot of people here I've discovered it's really just a name for a lot of stuff I already liked. And since I've 'discovered' it, I'm getting pretty obsessed I'm really into art and drawing, and the aesthetic as well as the creative, imaginative, inventive side of steampunk really appeals. Generally though, I'm just a curious kind of person who's interested in a lot of things. I've joined this forum to find out a bit more and hopefully get to know a bit of a community, hope you'll bear with me if I ask a lot of questions! Huzzah for more West Yorkshire!

Hello, my name is Annabelle - although I also go by 'Bel Leatherback', 'Elouise Sprocket' and 'Prunella Brunel' - although there may be more in the pipeline. I have always been interested in the past; I am studying for an Open University History degree and live in an old property surrounded by my parents brass, wood and leather - no surprises why I have become interested in Steampunk! I have joined this forum to meet like minded people and show off my creations! Can't wait to get posting! I am also a proud Druid, so would be great to meet any other Pagan Steampunks! Bel X

As long as I've been gone, I feel the need to REintroduce myself: I am Captain Xenos Markus O'Sullivan. My ship is the AO Victoria. My crew are the Aeronauts. I am married to the loveliest lass you've ever set eyes on. Now on to the real me: I AM really married to the loveliest lass you ever laid eyes on, and I have a lovely daughter as well! I am a musician by nature, but my paycheck comes from driving a truck and working with recovering drug addicts. Some would tell you I have an alcohol problem, but I only drink to excess. 9 out of 10, if I'm posting on here, I have either alcohol or pain pills (never together) in my system. I AM technically disabled, due to blowing out both of my shoulders and slipping a disk in my back. I don't rightly care though, I still plan to tackle the 7 Summits before I die (as well as the 7 Second and 7 Volcanic Summits). My favorite out-of-doors activity is Sailing. BUT, since I don't live near the ocean, I normally find myself kayaking. It works. I own guns. I smoke e-cigs. I play FFIX. I have more than a dozen instruments, many of them stringed. I have been on 3 continents, and in 8 countries. I have dined with the king and queen of Jordan. I have been to Petra, the Red Sea, and the Dead Sea. I am not allowed into Israel. I spent a year of my life in Sudan, and I still consider it my home (see my country flag and my signature). I have had songs of mine played on the radio, articles I've written published in the local paper, and pictures I've taken published in various magazines. All before the age of 16. I am a level 42 Blue Mage/21 Red Mage on the Sylph Server of FFXI. My main guitar in-studio is a 1963 Vox Bulldog. I mainly play Ibanez instruments (including a ukulele). My favorite alcohol is Christian Brothers XO Brandy. I have been illicit drug free since February 25th, 2005. No, that's not bragging. It's not boasting. My life here recently has been rubbish-between getting labeled disabled, having to leave one of my two jobs, and having several of my friends either stab me in the back or die. I want people to know what I've done-just in case I'm not here tomorrow. That may be somber, but then again, it's me! Time to brighten the thread-those that know me know what's coming next: FLIPPITY JUMBO SPLETCH! BOINGO BOINGO WHOOPSY KNICKERS!!!

What a coincidence, me too! And I suspect that you'll find several others here who would say the same. She may be a polygamist, but none of us are complaining.

Hi. I'm Atom. Fifteen years old. I'm not into doing the whole steampunk persona and dressing up sort of thing, but I certainly appreciate and respect it. I'm pretty much just here for the projects. I love projects and building things, and happen to appreciate the way steampunk looks and I absolutely love old technology, leather, brass and copper.

I'm from a town called Broadstairs in the UK (near Canterbury) I'm a gamer kind of guy I started gaming in 1998, I started on Star Trek games EF, EF2, Bridge Commander. I've been in a number of clans since then, and still am. If you want to know about the games I've play(ed) please pm me because the LIST IS HUGE! In the mean time I'm helping to create a game called ... If I tell you I'd have to kill you for now it will be known as Helo Kitty I'm stoked to be here with the LEGENDS of Steampunk Cheers for reading Steamp's!

Hello all, Another noob, but burgeoning Steampunk obsessive from wet West Yorkshire here Having grown up with Sci-fi and the wonderful stories of Verne and Wells to keep me starry eyed, my love of the genre has only increased. My interest in Steampunk has largely been passive until recently when I decided to get more involved with you lovely people and I would dearly like to "do something"! Hence my lurking here for a week or so before joining the ranks of this awesome forum. So, without further ado...It's ever so nice to meet you all and thanks for the great community. Kindest regards, Officer Alexis Brazil Longlois II

Good evening everyone, yet another Yorkshire man reporting in, this time hailing from the South My name is Carter, I'm 22 years of age and stereotypically the only thing I do at the moment is serve coffee and gig with my small unknown band. Oh and occasionally make the odd doo-dads I believe like many others I've always known what steampunk was in the back of my mind but have only recently discovered the cultured community its created and brass goggles seems a perfect place to dive myself into! Hopefully I'll be able to combine my old and new love of steam punk and 'post-apocalyptica-ism'... See you around champs!

Hello!! I'm Ady, Adelaide, and occasionally, Alli. I reside in various parts of East Anglia, from the London dock sides to the Suffolk fields and the Norwich tea shops. I'm a history student, specialising in the Cold War and the 'Victorian underworlds' - lots of Jack the Ripper, prostitution, magic and science, which is partially where the steampunk comes from, that and being an au pair to the jolly old english aristocracy. I love tea. I am resident film buff on my university course. And I'm a wee bit Pagan/Witchy.

Greeting and salutations Steampunks. Now that's got the formal bit out of the way....My Name is Alan and I've followed the Steampunk fashion with interest for a few years now, anyone on here that visits the Whitby Goth Weekend may well have posed for my camera (yes I'm a habitual snapper). I'm getting on a bit and many of you younger folk will probably think I can remember Victorian fashion the first time around with my music passions harking back to the Moody Blues and the likes of Jethro Tull . Recently my wife heard me playing Abney Park and got hooked, I think this may lead to a couple of oldies joining the Steampunk scene (yes I know there's enough of them already) but I have an idea for a theme and it's just a matter of time before it happens, problem will be where to carry a DSLR and several lenses

I enjoy forums, but this is the first I've joined with such a specific scope of topic. It's kind of exciting!
I've been aware of steampunk for a few years, but I've only recently decided to participate in the genre. Last Halloween, I debuted by first steampunk costume, which was admittedly a mashup of various Renn Faire pieces and old junk from my closet. I'm currently making another outfit--still an amateur effort, but I really do enjoy making things, costumes in particular--I've got a corset made, I have goggles in progress, and plans for a military-inspired bolero. The fashion is one of my favorite things about all this! I just wish I were better at metal- and leather-crafting; that would add some authenticity to my projects, but I'm making progress, I think.
I live on the east coast of the US, I have a serious penchant for Vanilla Coke and orange Monster energy drink, I have a film degree, I'm halfway through 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, I like photosnapping, and I've recently taken an interest in Game of Thrones.
