I am not a happy bunny today... I just received tax bills numbers 2 and 3 added when to tax bill number 1 which I got just before Christmas.... my running total is now at over £1500 I have apparently under paid!!!! but letter number 4 from the tax office is a rebate for £90!! Its getting beyond a joke now. What adds insult to injury is the period I'm being billed for I had 2 jobs which they knew about because I informed them and then tried to get working tax credits, which they then told me I couldn't get because my contracted hours only came to 27hrs per week and I needed to be contracted to 30. The fact I was actually working 44 hours a week on average didn't count because it was overtime. last year when I got tax bill number 1 the man I spoke to at the tax office said I could increase my working hours so I could claim working tax credit by registering as self employed but I am getting married in the next 2 months. so I have had my partners income taken in to account as well which has just pushed us over the threshold. so I can't get anything it seems!!! What really gets my goat though is I work in a shop in Keighley and I serve people who are on incapacity benefits and/or the dole, And there is one chap who I have sold stuff to fix the roof on there chicken sheds (during winter) which house around a 1000 birds. he then happily told me he had refused to go to a training session the job centre had organised because it was up a flight of stairs!! he then pulled out a wad of cash which far exceeds my monthly wage to pay for the stuff that I know comes from him selling chickens and eggs to the local estates. All I can think is i'm paying for that scrounger and many more like him and because I have always been honest and tried to better myself. What's worse is I went university which I still have debts from but I can't get a better job to pay them off as the industry I trained in generally offers jobs to the long term unemployed first or more recently it just offers positions as traineeships to school leavers. It comes to something when a person would be better off not working and living off the state!!! oh well I can't bring myself to do that so I will probably just end up in more even debt paying to those who do.

My mother... Being petty, picking fights for no reason, then being an absolute BITCH about the whole thing - not only towards me but also then being vindictive and bitchy for no reason towards her boyfriend as well. I can hear her beginning with the emotional blackmail now.... I almost pity the poor guy. Don't get me wrong, I'm eternally grateful for my house, food, and education, but sometimes she just.... ARGH!!!

Modern life, and the modern world in general. The mindless morons that abound who see anyone who isn't wearing tracksuit bottoms and a T-shirt as fairgame for their petty little insults. Flatmates who decide.... you know what, we all know how much of a pr!ck my flatmate is, I won't continue that saga.

Just got told that the doctors phoned me after my bloodtest and wanted a 'chat', that sounds ominous. I hope they just want to discuss the frequency of my vitamin injections. The next monday: Turns out it was a call to confirm that my blood count is OK and that I need an injection every 3 months. Why did they have to call on friday for that? They had me worried all weekend.

Someone please tell me that I have a right to be upset...
My mother just informed me that she woke up last week and could no longer lift her arm above shoulder-height. She ignored it. I'm worrying myself sick right now. She's angry because I'm begging her to go see a doctor, instead of showing compassion.(?!)

Your mother sounds alot like mine. Years ago (93, I think), when she had a very serious medical malfunction, she was insistant that she drive herself to the hospital-despite the fact her intire left side was not functioning! So yes, speaking from experiance, you not only HAVE the right, if you did NOT feel upset, then you're a robot (and if you ARE a robot, please make the takeover swift and painless...).

I've got boys who've brought patterened waiscoats in, because 'they thought it would be ok, and look cool', none of them have cleaned their shoes, two have come in trainers, one has brought aftershave for them all to wear (they're 11?). Ok, I would give +10 inititive for the waistcoats (even though they're patterned), -1,000,000 for the daps, a futher -1,000,000 for unclean shoes and minus a further several 1,000,000 for the aftershave. ------------------------- Somehow, I've managed to get pains in my neck, left shoulder, upper arm, elbow and lower arm. Plus I'm also suffering from really, really bad teeth ache. But still, I'm trying to maintain the old stiff upper lip routine. (oh and the visual migraines aren't helping either)

Being independant is admirable. There comes a time as I know from personal experience, when medical help is required and the help of friends and family should be treasured. Being stubborn about serious medical conditions is selfish and leads to grief.

Being told that just because someone else doesn't feel anything about a particular event in -my- life, it means I shouldn't feel anything either.
I haven't been this infuriated in months.
Just had something similar happen. And then got in the shit for being upset over that as well as the event. So, you have my full sympathy.
