So, I told myself that I'm going to quit smoking when I finished my last one yesterday.
I just discovered that I do in fact have enough money in my bank account for one last pack.
I want one. Really bad. Frick.
A good friend spent years trying to give up and failed at every attempt. Finaly out of desperation he tryed hypnotherapy, he hasnt smoked since.

I know what you're feeling. I don't smoke. Never have.. I have dreams constantly of smoking a pipe. I crave it sometimes.

I know the feeling... I crave a pipe, or a cigarette on occasion despite not being a smoker... I had a friend who once, and only once since he didn't want me picking up the habit, let me borrow a cigarette just to hold it in my mouth. With me, it's more of an oral fixation. I'll hold pens and pencils in between my lips regularly... I kinda feel like I'd be committing a blasphemy if I got a pipe without intending to smoke though...

I don't smoke (indeed, with my lungs I can't smoke... unless I want to end up in hospital), but I do carry a pipe. Simply to make a mockery of our laws on the subject. And to be able to point at people with it, which is more important.
Scene: Myself and a few friends in a restaurant/pub/club/lecture theatre (delete as appropriate)
I pull out my pipe
Waiter: You can't smoke in here Sir.
Me: I think you'll find not only is it not lit, it has no tobacco in it. Search my pockets. Do I have any tobacco? What's that? No?

Persons intending to travel by open carriage should select a seat with their backs to the engine, by which means they will avoid the ashes emitted therefrom, that in travelling generally, but particularly through the tunnels, prove a great annoyance; the carriage farthest from the engine will in consequence be found the most desirable.

My GAAAAH to. Lack of cashflow. This month is shorter than usual, but the monthly payments remain the same. I get payed every 4 weeks, so it's hard to cover all monthly expenses in time. Luckyly this month is almost over and all expenses are (Sort of) made. Another Gaaah of the day. I've lost my car keys AND papers. Somewhere bitween dirty clothes and clean lawndry they are waiting for me to be discovered. I hope the papers aren't cleened.

Fuel prices. For my American friends: I filled up the car this morning, and paid the equivalent of $8.85/gallon. Grrrr.. highest fuel prices since 2008.. back then, partially because of the exchange rate at the time, it meant paying nearly $10/gallon..
*sigh*
Nevermind running out of fuel - at this rate it won't be long before nobody can afford it, lol..
Fortunately, we don't need to depend on the car all that much, so even if there comes a point it makes no economic sense to drive, we can still get around and get things done. Shops are right around the corner, and if I weren't so damn lazy, I could ride my bicycle to work.. or take the bus..
Makes me wonder though.. at which point are people willing to give up the car and go for alternate modes of transportation? So far it seems $10/gallon just results in more complaining, but doesn't actually affect driving habits all that much..
Heh, I should just get a moped..

Over here, it's $9.59 equivalent! I've already decided not to renew my road fund licence, I'm parking the car up off the road and i'll start taking the bus, the weekly ticket for the South Wales area is £20.50 for 7 days, which is what I was spending in petrol, so it's a no-brainer really. The costs of private car ownership are seriously prohibitive, here's a run-down: - M.O.T Test £55/Year
- Insurance £420/Year
- Tax £155/Year
- Petrol (average) £1040/Year
Total, just for my regular journeys, £1670/Year Gareth

I'm lucky in that I can run it on vegetable oil, but my friend lost his job n the kebab shop and new oil is nearly as much as diesel these days....Gaahhh!! They've got us every way!

Yeah, the insurance though; £420! Bah, I looked around and admittedly this was the most extreme offer but for a piddly rover 200 they wanted £12000 a year, with a £2000 deposit! The bloody car is only worth £500 on a good day! That was my GAH... ~Longeye~

I got up at seven o'clock, I'm waiting for an important delivery that is due today. I have just been to the door to find a red card, apparently the postman called 40 minutes ago, it must have been a member of the Ghostal Service, because I didn't hear anybody knocking on the door.
