Nightmare Before Christmas. First stop every trip to the mall is the Disney store and I freely admit to walking out looking like a sad puppy if there are no new items for me to ogle.

Trigun and Full Metal Alchemist. Love at first sight for epic lulz and steampunkiness.

Eisbrecher. Been on a German metal kick recently and I've found myself walking around work singing Bombe and Kann denn Liebe Sünde sein. Also attempting to learn German so I understand what these guys are on about.

Kann denn Liebe Sünde sein? is an old, very popular song title from the 30ies, originally sung by Zarah Leander.

KMFDM, Rammstein, Eisbrecher, Die Krupps and Megaherz to name a few. And according to one random comment on YouTube, the Eisbrecher version of Kann denn Liebe Sünde sein is supposedly about rape, I just found a site that's compiled most German songs and translated them and I'm checking the authenticity of that comment before I resume singing this version. Lol. *shakes head*

Edit: According to the translation, I'm going to be mindful of which parts of this version I sing out loud.

Been playing Eisbrecher and Antikorper a lot over the last few days - Eisbrecher is one of my favourite bands. I sort of lost interest in Megaherz when Alex Wesselsky left to form Eisbrecher.

I guess that Kann denn Liebe Sünde sein? could be about rape; could be about sex with a minor - the lyrics are quite ambiguous.

Yeah. It certainly falls into the 'questionable' sex catogory. I actually find myself learning interesting, albeit most times useless, things when looking up translations of lyrics. Mein Teil comes to mind as well...

X-Men evolution. I love it and all 4 seasons are now on Youtube which makes me so happy. In my first year of uni I ended up bed-ridden for a month. I watched X-men evolution and browsed dolls house forums until I felt better.

What your guilty pleasure ? What you feel ashamed to love ?

Melancholy. It is so out of fashion in our happiness-at-all-costs society.

I wonder what it must be like to spend one day with you.

Strangely, I see more Diet Cherry Coke than regular Cherry Coke; and we also had for a while Diet Coke with Lemon, and Diet Coke with Lime; I'd forgotten about Vanilla Coke- I quite liked that too...

Strange that they do not make regular Coke with Lemon or Lime..........only Diet.
So odd.

Lately mine has been a mash of Dr Pepper, Cadbury mini eggs, and Photoshop. But I also have an absolutely HORRID addiction to Pinterest. It's like crack for people with OCD. It's awful, but I love it so much!

Aside from that, it is sadly just homework. I'm horribly over-encumbered with it and will be until fall when I graduate.

The Bee Gees. I used to hate disco, but I realized not too long ago that I actually love the Bass-lines and energy of some Bee Gees songs. And I'm fascinated by the whole disco-swinging scene of the 1970s.

Oh my goodness, no! I can't even begin to imagine the massive soda-splosion that would happen if I did that! Lately I have done much better and been drinking lots of water, but part of that is because I live in the desert and it has been hotter than hades lately.

Jerry Springer. If my boyfriend comes home while I'm watching it, I lie and say I was doing dishes or something and it came on after a show I was watching, or I just had the TV on for noise...but I love that show. I don't have a lot of drama in my life (for which I'm thankful for!) and it just baffles me that these people would go on air and present themselves like they do! Meh, I'll watch it all day long.

I also love shows or books about subcultures in America. Shows about the Amish, or polygamists, or that show Taboo, just anything that is close to home, but is also so different from what I consider normal I guess. I think it's so interesting to see how different people can live. Obviously people live different lives in Australia or Europe, I expect that, but when it's in America, I'm just enthralled I guess. I really can't explain it.

I'm also into this little genre called Steampunk...it's like neo-Victorian, making things, brass, leather...it's uh, it's pretty fun.  Wink
