Oh and eating a whole box of Tunnock's Tea Cakes to myself.  Embarrassed

Re:- Dosbox...thank you for the info

oh, I've done this many times... they're just so good! and caramel wafers...

when I lived in Scotland, we had a Tunnock's van come round selling teacakes and other treats, I might have a photo of it in the depths of some box or other.

also, you're welcome Smiley

Does the Tunnock's van work in the same way as an ice cream van then? It sounds great Cheesy

I'm not sure what my guilty pleasure would be...Eating whole big bags of pretzels probably, i'm nearly addicted :3

Yes. Yes it does.

And I still maintain that you're going to kill yourself with the amount of salt in those things...

Lexx. I know its cheesy but its got a decent amount of goggles and lots of steamyness.

Liking the 4th season is definitely a guilty pleasure.

At the moment my guilty pleasue is some of the apsolute rubbish I watch when I'm suffering from insomnia, I really enjoy Passport Patrol, there is something about people claiming to have no food and then having to be told that the 4 bags full of noodles counts as food that just does it for me.

Not doing work in favour of watching FRIENDS in my pajamas whilst eating a whole tube of Salt and Vinegar crisps.
Oh, and opening cans of fizzy drink just to hear the noise, but then not drinking said fizzy drink.

Oh, and Mother adds her guilty pleasure.
Top Gun.

Reading cheap, trashy pulp fantasy and sci-fi. The less literary merit, the better. It still has to have interesting characters, but I'm willing to sacrifice quality for enjoyment.

This may not seem like much of a guilty pleasure, but I'm an English major with my focus in creative writing, and a VERY heavy course load in lit. You try explaining to people who read Joyce for fun how you like reading a book like "Magic Lost, Trouble Found", or "Monster Hunters, International" without turning purple.

...  Ok, for starters, I'm the lead guitarst in a doom/desert/stoner metal band, as in, driving, heavy heavy HEAVY guitars, and "Doom Doom Gloom Gloom You're All Going to DIE" lyrics (it's good stuff, warms my heart and soul).

Ok, so that's what I play.

Guilty pleasures?  Indie Folk.  Yeah, I'm talking Feist, A Fine Frenzy, Regina Spektor, Fleet Foxes, stuff like that.  I REALLY like that style of music (Along with some not so indie folk stuff like Counting Crows, Goo Goo Dolls, Collective Soul, and Blue October [Blue October=BEST. BAND. EVER]), in particular if it's a lady singing (A Fine Frenzy and R. Spektor are favorites).

And then, for some reason, I really enjoy Avril Lavigne's first album.  ONLY THE FIRST ALBUM.

And not so much a guilty pleasure as a somewhat relevant statement of fact:  Amy Lee is so very talented (and beautiful)!  I usually have Not for Your Ears and Origin playing on my mp3 player at work...  so yeah...

Indie Folk.   Good stuff...

Check out R. Spektor's song "Eet," and A Fine Frenzy's song "Happier."  If you REALLY want some happy upbeat stuff, check out Feist's song "1234!"

Aye, that it is...  I much prefer that version of "Bring Me To Life," the guitar solo is, for lack of a better term, eargasmic...

Even if it IS a fake compalation, it's still a nice album.

I have a habit of doing that with the home phone. When I was living with my mom, I'd never answer it, because anyone who wanted to reach me specifically would call my cell. Now, in my new apartment, we have a home phone, but again, we never answer it. We always just let the machine get it.

I do a similar thing with the intercom/door buzzer in the flats I live in. I rarely get visitors after about 7pm  week nights and if someone is going to buzz my flat I'm usually expecting them. I discovered very quickly that answering every buzz usually results in an unidentified voice saying "I forgot me key..can you let me in?" to which I hang up. So if it's genuinely for me they will buzz again..otherwise I simply ignore it now.

Mind you I never check my messages either so I'm the worst person to call in an emergency. I just loath telephones for soem reason.

That's not evil, it's just fun. You want to know what's really evil? Remember that kid you save from the fire ants? I sold him into slavery.

Actually, that's not quite true. I talked him into selling himself into slavery.  Now that's evil. Grin
