Due to Reactionary censorship & chaps unable to take a fair ribbing I feel its all got a little out of hand. The Moderator Censorship of the options of a recently elected fellow in the old 13 Colonies who thinks we can all change & the excision of a mid twentieth century cigar chomping British leader really! Never before in the field of human conflict have I come across such silliness. I have also been accused of racisim due to passing a remark about the sort of hat a chap might wear. Now for the record I'm a great admirer of the Germans. I especially admire thier engineering ability, particularly their skill in making clockwork toys, you know those mechanical automatons that go through the same tedious repeditive motions again and again every time you wind them up. In response to this thread, I am a fan of Captain Oates, of the Scott Expedition. He really left because it was getting all a bit claustrophobic. Anyhows, I've better things to do. "I'm going outside and may be gone some time..."

What most of the individualist survivalist types tend to miss is that we humans are inherently social in nature. We do best when we are in groups that are large enough to allow people to specialize. Who I'd like at my side is not one individual, no matter how powerful, but a hundred or so diverse people who share the common belief in working together to make things better.
My thoughts exactly!

I would want my partner to be with me as everything else goes to hell, BUT...
I would not feel everything is going to hell unless I didn't have my dearest other. In that case, I would want to party with Nero. No reason to care about anything, and furthermore, no reason to erase oneself.

Who do I want by me side when the crap hits the bloody fan? Who else would anyone want by their side? I want the man who can see the ebb and flow of time itself. I want the man who's stared death in the face...and laughed. I want the man who's very presence can cause the most cowardly souls to become filled with the same courage and fury as King Leonidas and his 300 Spartan warriors, and cause even the most cold and heartless monsters to run in soul-grippin' terror! I want...the man in the blue box.
I want The Doctor; the one, the only, the best!
