A tidbit from Wikipedia to whet your appetites:

Conspiracy theorists  have long associated Freemasonry with the New World Order  and the Illuminati, and state that Freemasonry as an organisation is either bent on world domination or already secretly in control of world politics.

Mr. Bailey, so glade you survived the assassination attempt “good show!” and well played.

Nice transition, Mr. Bailey, we're starting to nail down the specifics of the plot in good fashion.

Good photo of Nightshade, Ms. Askew, although I resent being thought as old as Jason Robards!  Wink  I think of Theo more like this, IMHO:

Thank you, Messires Grey and Nightshade. I'm glad you liked it!.

Miss Askew, please forgive my jumping forward in the story - feel free to hijack my character for the purpose of our planned meeting in your cabin, prior to my leaving the ship.  I will incorporate any story elements you may add into my interview at the masonic temple.  Regards, Theo

>>AFTER THE FACT:  I went ahead and referred to our meeting in the past tense in my last post, please let me know if there was anything specific you intended to relate and I'll incorporate as needed.  TMG

Nobody knows the trouble I've seen;
Nobody knows my sorrow.
Nobody knows the trouble I've seen;
Glory, Hallelujah!

Nobody knows the trouble I've seen;
Nobody knows my sorrow.
Nobody knows the trouble I've seen;
Glory, Hallelujah!

Sometimes I'm up, sometimes I'm down;
Oh, yes, Lord.
Sometimes I'm almost to the ground;
Oh, yes, Lord.

Nobody knows the trouble I've seen;
Nobody knows my sorrow.
Nobody knows the trouble I've seen;
Glory, Hallelujah!

I wish that I could find a way;
Oh, yes, Lord.
But life is just one long, rainy day;
Oh, yes, Lord.

Nobody knows the trouble I've seen;
Nobody knows my sorrow.
Nobody knows the trouble I've seen;
Glory, Hallelujah!

Glory, Hallelujah!

Your troubles may only be beginning if the guards decide to throw you that "party"...   Shocked

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Don't pout, old man, I have no doubt you will soon escape to continue your nefarious schemes - perhaps the boarding Germans could be of use in that regard?  Or the fact that Major Dan is currently in command, and has an existing business relationship with Nightshade?  Or that Miss Curious REALLY wants that bag in your room?  Just spit-balling, here.

If it isnt the case already, please consider it to be the case that for whatever reason I was not successful in joining the crew. I've no previous experience of this kind of RP, and would not possibly be able to keep up with what's been going on in the thread, at the rate it has been going.  Have fun, all, and I look forward to a good read when I eventually have time to peruse it all.

Absolutely, Miss Moore, but please consider popping in occasionally, perhaps as a passenger commenting on the action?  This has developed more into a shared-story project than an RP, so all input is welcome!  Best, Theo

I believe I did say "almost
 every hidden (or was it "possible"?) exit..." so there're bound to be at least one or several more, for precisely the reason of giving your character an "out," Mr. Nightshade. Wink.Look around, I'm sure you'll find somethijng, even if only a laundry chute...

A busy night, and a wonderful twist!!!  I truly enjoy starting my day with you all.

Mr. Bailey, thank you for your detective's skills - we'll need to find a safe place for both your recordings and the ship's ledger I decoded earlier, I am sure they will prove useful in dealing with Mr. Nightshade.  Wink

As you amply demonstrated with your "hero" undertaking, outstanding old man!  I'll have Halks follow you around, whispering "All glory is fleeting..." in your ear.   Wink

Your Exchange with Miss Curious ironically reminded me of "The Prisoner" -

"Who is Number One?"
"I am Number Two!  You are Number Six!"  Cheesy
