I can think of a few things... 6 of which involved underpants, cheese, or firecrackers. In one case all three.

Miss Curious, I would PAY to see any part of that, especially now that you've taken up with Nightshade himself.  Wink

BTW, if I may be so bold, could you appease my (our?) "curiosity" regarding your character, and perhaps post a description and backstory.  Given your acting and fighting skills, and now finding out you're a "retrieval expert", I am all-the-more eager to know more about how you see yourself.  Best, Theo  Smiley

Hmmm...

Name : Zuttle D. Curious (Assumed name after joining the company.)
Age : 22
Height : 5'4
Build : Larger framed, Strong build.
Hair : Deep brown, nearly black, Kept up in an invisible french braid.
Eyes : Same as hair (Save for being in an invisible french braid.)
Clothing : Favors wearing trousers rather than skirts. Generally wears whatever helps get the job done, when not working, wears either dresses, or Duster length jackets or vests with a feminine blouse over trousers.

History : Born in Texas, Father ran off shortly after she was born, Mother went from boyfriend to boyfriend until she finally married when "Zuttle" was 14. Repeatedly got into fights with her stepfather, eventually killed him (by accident) when she was 17. Fearing the town judge, she ran away, barely made it to the next town alive, but then safely made her way to New york where she lived happily as a cook and housekeeper for a boarding house run by an elderly lady.
Made it to Britain by way of stowing away on a cruise ship. (This was a mistake, She was trying to return a wallet a friend of hers had stolen to a gentleman who was a passenger on the ship, when she returned it, she realized the ship had already set sail.) Lived as a pickpocket in britain until someone from the company recognized her talents and offered her a job, which she accepted. Has recently been competing with Milo Dodding for the next promotion.

BTW, Nightshade, since Sir Duncan Corwell is one of your characters, it's your turn. (I understand if you've been busy with other things though Smiley)

Good point, Alexis - Nightshade, do you want Corwell to have a specific conversation with the botanist before everyone boards for Mars?

Oh, and Mr. Bailey, the use of excessive force in the interrogation of Nightshade... has been approved.  Cool

Sir Duncan is not "MY character" per say, and one of the things fun about this rp is the free use { short of killing off } that each of us has with one another’s characters;

Nightshade pushed Grey into the captains chair,
Grey pushed Nightshade under the dinner table,
Curious and Bailey played cat and mouse for most of the moon voyage, each one using the others characters

Sir Duncan dose not trust Nightshade and would like you to at LEAST keep an eye on him.
But if you would like a larger role then that write yourself one, we all do that and back each other up in the story line.

Add to that any way you like or not, but in short, write your self into the plot in as big or small a part as you would like to play.

and,,, have fun with it !

LOL, I want Tyrone Power to play Bailey. Oh, wait, Power's dead, isn't he... Then again, I hear they're doing amazing things with makeup and CGI these days...

LOL, OK, new OOC thread:  Who will play your character in the forthcoming major motion picture, Red Sands and Red Swords?

Nightshade - spoken for, Jonathan Pryce on Line 2.

Grey - Ed Harris, as the "clean Marine" from the The Right Stuff:

Sound off, everyone, and no talent agents please, this is a family production.  Wink

...Nightshade drove his fist into the man about six inches below his belt buckle.

Uhh, Mr. Bailey, unless the German was dressing funny, I don't believe Nightshade punched him in the "abdomen"...  Shocked

Most assuredly, I was hoping my inclusion of her character's story thread in my last few posts would draw her out.

Hello?

Hello, Miss Askew, are you there?  Huh

I tried to keep the action from being too awfully graphic (Esp. forebore the description of gore resulting from gunshot wounds and employment of the Khukhuri -its a pretty brutal weapon in any case, but figured some swordplay might be in order; my character's attack was not nearly as darkly brutal as the kind that Bailey's kind of blade is famous for)

I will, of course, make whatever changes are requested.

Miss Askew, in the past year the same thing happened to me.
Look at it as a chance to trade up to an even better job. Iam sure in the end it will be a good change for you. Wink

My thanks to Nightshade for getting me aboard in time! I was unexpectedly away from the computer this weekend.  Tongue

I also left my usb drive plugged into the computer at work, and I had a lot more (important) stuff to include in my last post that I'm not able to put up right now. gahh!  Angry

since I can't really put it in later in the story, I'll go back tomorrow and edit my last post to include it. please bear with me!  Undecided

(interestingly enough, Vilkaus may have something that will be able to take care of that ship following you)  Grin
