According to an email to attendees from the organizers, TeslaCon is sold out for 2011. No tickets will be sold at the door.

If you are attending Teslacon II please see my post on this forum about my Jules Verne panel.  I am recruiting panelists.  It isn't a hard job. You just need to love Jules Verne and be able to chat about his work in relation to steampunk!

Dr. Nautilus, my wife is doing a natural history panel but she is also a Verne fan who can pontificate about his works.

If you contact me at spcglider(at) aol.com I can get you in touch with her if there is still time left.  Otherwise, we can simply attend the panel and contribute from the audience if that is allowed.

We'll (MacGregor Historic Games) be teaching games from the past at Teslacon. I'm going to bring my MacBook and attempt to live stream some video from the the webcam in the room we'll be playing in. I'll try to remember to post the link.

Having technical difficulties so streaming won't happen, but have a mini video cam I'll be wearing to get some candid footage.

I must commend Lord Bobbins and ALL of the crew....

TeslaCon II was a great success I thought... I enjoyed the ball
and costume contest... met a ton of friendly people and got a chance
to show off my power arm.  To my surprise I got a ton of compliments
from senior Steamers... and I must admit that I blushed a lil....

thanks to all who I met... you made my first Steampunk Con a  BLAST!

Now off to the Moon.....

It was lovely to talk to you.  I have big aspirations to host a panel next year on some of the more mad science oriented parts of tailoring after talking to a bunch of people this weekend.  I am very much looking forward to going to the moon next year.

Yes I think that is when Bobins said it would be and I think it will be at an even bigger hotel.  I would book your room and ticket as soon as you can.  It tends to sell out quickly.

Lord Bobbins talked about several things before the Fashion Show and ball....

This years Teslacon was held on the east side at the Sheraton,
next year it is hoped to have it on the west side at the Marriot.

This will open up a LOT more food choices locally and also give a
large convention area for the Con.  It was also announced that
they would be pre-selling 100 tix for next years con... they sound
out VERY quickly... (I got mine).

There was also some talk from Lord Bobbins about future years of
TeslaCon and that he envisions it continuing to grow and grow....

Throwing in my two bits.  I agree that Teslacon II was magnificent.  I missed the first year, alas, but I hope never to miss another.  Being Dr. Nautilus for three days was a welcome escape from my ordinary personas.  I did spend too much in the vendor's room, but it was such good stuff!  Many thanks to Lord Bobbins and thanks to Madam Curatrix for posting the video from the first year.
