I'd probably come to Canada more often if it weren't so hard to get into. Your customs people are scary!

On the plus side, I am a fan of both Toronto and Montreal and would love to visit more often :)

Getting into Canada isn't that hard at all.  I do it all the time.

...  of course I have a Canadian passport as I was born there...

It's usually best if you go to one pf the busier crossings.  Usually the agents there are very good.  I live in Buffalo and haven't heard much bad about the agents on the rainbow bridge.  The other 2 have had problems though.

We would certainly love to have you visit us. I'm in Ottawa (2 hours from Montreal).  If you're ever coming to Montreal let me know and we'll plan something fun!

Today is Steampunk Canada's 2nd Anniversary!  I can't believe we've grown so much in so short a time. Thank you to all our members and supporters and all the local groups across the country.

Is anyone from White Horse or Prince Rupert?  ha anyone heard of any SP there?   I am not getting my hopes up but they are two of the closest communities to us and we could always use another excuse to visit.

After touring the Klondike in White Horse I would now very much like to take a riverboat trip.  Maybe next summer visit to Fairbanks where they apparently still have a few working riverboats.

Hello Captain!

I've not heard of anyone up there as of yet, but you should definitely put the word out.  That's a great space for creative people.  I'm sure you'll find other steampunks there.  Let me know if you decide to hold an event or start a group and I'll help you spread the word.  Good luck!

PS  That is a beautiful riverboat!

I live in Juneau and we have most Alaskan SP accounted for but no real contact with nearby Canada.  I would not mind another reason to visit White Horse this spring.  Unfortunately the steam locomotive out of Skagway does not go quite all of the way to White Horse any longer(?)

Even though the Klondike is permanently dry docked in White Horse it was kept in excellent shape and definitely worth touring.  Fairbanks has an operating riverboat: http://www.alaskadenalitours.com/fairbanks_alaska/fairbanks_riverboat_discovery.html which I just might have a chance to ride this summer.

Great!  Now I want to come for the riverboat AND the steam train.
