After the Mk. I became an Air Kraken Day gift on another forum, here's the ShoggoTech Test Tube Holder Mk. II, made from the finest brass and wood bits and a wingnut. So, what do you think of it?

Very nice Mr. Shoggotho.  Unfortunately my esteemed colleagues have implanted the idea of inhibriatory beverages in my head, and now I'm also seeing a perfect beer sample dispensing device.  Otherwise, it'd be nice for holding Crowned Pigmy Kraken specimens (suspended in beer, of course).

awesome! I wish i had a room in which to place such things, one room devoted to creations such as this. Oh how nice it would be to sit in my leather chair puffing a pipe, pondering my thoughts... Oh yes, i can see it now...

Anyway, Thats awesome!!

After learning from Grigori Rasputin how to consecrate vodka, Abraham Van Helsing became immune to the Vampire's bite, but was constantly inebriated. This is a close approximation of his vampire immunity kit, shortly before he died of liver failure.

Add a clockwork motor to the central post and turn it into a centrifuge.

Could add a hint of danger to the shot glass idea. Especially if 1 contained something really nasty and the rest had something quite mild in. Whichever tube stops in front of you, that's the one you drink. Obviously would need to be refilled after each round.

elShoggotho,
You might consider doing what I plan to do.  Once my Victorian Era Workshop is finished, I will produce Steampunk items.  1st is MINE, all others after that will have the profit given to cancer research.  It's something I can do for me, and for all mankind.  It can't help but give Steampunk a good name either.  You tend to think of these things when you get my age.
