Howdy, Thanks kindly for the greeting, sir. Since I just completed my first steampunk/weird west outfit, I feel much better. Its a bit crude, but considering my current (lack of) resources, I like it. And I do recognize your face, sir. But I am sorry I did not make your acquaintance before, being as I used to go to CONvergence religiously while in Minnesota. But now, I look forward to meeting you and your lovely companion in your profile photo at some later time. (Hopefully CONvergence this year!) Cheers, Dan

Most definitely Sir! We are going to try and make it to ConVergence this year but will certainly be going to the RenFest again in full Steampunk attire. I am a big fan of Weird Weird West and plan on adding a replica pistol belt and six shooter to my outfit. Did some quick draw shooting up in Wisconsin this past summer and I am now hooked

I might go to it as well, but it is secondary to a road trip to Comic-con.

They've been on sale for months (We actually pre-register for the next year as we leave so we don't forget) Register right away, the cost goes up $10 after 12/31 http://www.convergence-con.org/amenities/registration/registration.php

Oh dear, I've come to the party rather late. Pardon the interruption?
Lifetime Minnesotan here. Well known in some parts. Infamous in others.
Would be interested in a Minnesota meet-up should one occur in the more clement months.

Better late then never! Welcome spcglider!
I think the idea of a picnic at a park would be splendid. Perhaps Lake Harriet Rose Gardens in Minneapolis or Como Park Conservatory in Saint Paul.
Also, both would be excellent locations to take some great photos.

Would any MN or WI steampunks be interested in a garden walk at Como Park Conservatory in January? It will be cold outside but warm and steamy in the green houses.

Greetings fellow Minnesotans! I have observed Steampunk for quite some time but now I am finally starting to really get into it and let my imagination take flight If get-togethers are arranged here I will certainly try and attend! I live in Alexandria and I don't see too many others who enjoy the Steamy side of life up here. Glad to meet all of your acquaintances!

Hello from the North Suburbs of Anoka County , im fairly interested in steampunk and will be at CONvergence coming up this summer (look for a Bald Eagle fursuit possibly with steampunk gear). Is there any website out there specific to Minnesotans into Steampunk?

Just wanted to share with the rest of you all. Next month for our second year wedding anniversary Mrs. Voltin and I will be staying at the Rivertown Inn over in Historic Stillwater and plan on once again going Steampunk and should have a few photos to share after. For those of you that have never been to Stillwater I highly recommend visiting there. Many antique shops, restaurants, and history to savor. The room we will be staying in this time is the Agatha Christie suite. Have a look~ http://www.rivertowninn.com/agatha_christie.htmlAlso, I wanted to start a discussion on a Time Traveller's outing at the Renfest this year. Your thoughts?

Welcome Chestnut! The weather is what gives our state character though!
Just kidding, it is a rollercoster ride with the weather I know. The fall is usually pretty nice however.

Hello, fellow Minnesotans!
Seems as if this thread's last post was some time ago... Hope i haven't missed all the excitement! I am a resident of Burnsville and my profession is culinary. My girlfriend and I are lifetime Fest junkie, and would love to accumulate some more Fest cronies at '11 fest. And seeing as RenFest is right around the corner, I'm incredibly excited!
