Any middle-european Steams interessted in arranging a convention?

i´d like you know that i did a little commercial for our plans of a german (or western european) steampunk convention in one of the biggest german online communities for students! i posted ssome threads in fan groups of abney park and steampunk-movies. i hope i´ll get some answeres soon^^

It is even worse in the Netherlands. I never get to try and learn Dutch.  I blame the BBC!!!

Don't even start trying . I find Dutch not a nice language.

Seriously though - if there is anything we (The VSS) can do to help do not hesitate to ask.

Castlefest looks like a good gathering place.  It is a very wide event with re-enactment, Live role play etc.  It would be good to see a purely steampunk event somewhere in western Europe.  Perhaps a hotel based event?  I could help with organising features, traders etc.  Maybe even a band or two?   You need about 100 steampunks to make it work as a reasonable minimum.

I totally support an event in western Europe. We had Nox Obscura in the Netherlands which is a gothic/steampunk event from the same organisers as Castlefest, but it got cancelled due to lack of visitors. The ticket sale went horrible.

If anything is to be organised in Netherlands, western Germany or Belgium, I would gladly attend or help wherever help is needed, within my abilities.
