Ah yes, quite right, the word review is probably not the best then, I apologize.

But not many have heard of it it seems and my one gripe with most magazines is they only ever review NEW movies and never old gems one might have missed. Just to complicate matters, this isn't always the case. Yahtzee sometimes reviews old games and don't forget the retro scene, there is a whole host of retro websites dedicated to reviews of old school type music, films, games, toys and things.

I have a blog dedicated to Steampunkers trying to sell their wares. Would you be interested in something that would relate to that? If you want you can check out what I have at www.steampunkceo.blogspot.com. I post every Wednesday, and would be interested in doing a quarterly column or article to help artists market their wares so they can afford to make more art.

I notice you only have one post on that blog so far. We would of course be interested in considering submissions but it would be nice to see a little more of your work and where you are going with it.

I am interested in contributing art work. A lot of my stuff is very much suggestive but there are those that are more for a wider audience. Unless such suggestive themes can be contributed? I am currently engaged in a collaboration on an illustrated steampunk book that see's my work becoming more sanitised. Depending on what James says I will contribute some sneak previews of some of the illustrations. Just to give you an idea of what my other workypoos looks like, follow the link: http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=§ion=&global=1&q=andrewjohncraven

What?..... Four pages in and no dodgey suggestions for the name of this magazine?? Not even from Peter or the Dok. So, how about...... Cogsmopolitan.

I believe the Major has his own title for the periodical in question. Spoofing someone elses Title can lead to allegations of passing off, especially in this case as the fashion houses have been ripping off steampunk for the last 2 years.

I'm very new here (just joined today) but I would definitely be interested in contributing book reviews - I currently run an F and SF book review blog (articles, reviews, toplists and such) at Drying Ink ( http://drying-ink.blogspot.com), I'm a staff member for Fantasy Faction, and a monthly contributor to Grasping for the Wind. If this is still open, I'd love to contribute.

Not really sure if I have anything to contribute other than ill fated plans and numerous disaster ridden prototypes but I would like to subscribe...and yes, some of us in Alabama do read and have actually formed opinions. Who would I contact about having this magazine bought and shipped across the pond?

TVC15 is correct, but I must add that TEXANS read & think as well. Baron Pablo, who has offered his skills to this publication, is currently residing in Texas. Hopefully, distribution will include the United States & both TVC15 & I can get copies, either over-the-counter or by subscribing.

Just now seeing this thread - outstanding, and about time! I will not only subscribe, but submit articles on Victorian/Edwardian literature, military, science, and fiction. My specialty is the history of science and pre-electronic instrumentation, particularly navigation and cartography. Huzzah!

Major Tinker, any further news?? Sorry to be pestering you, but the idea of a steampunk something that I dont need a screen to view is quite exciting! Without the infernal machine, I wouldnt have discovered steampunk, and this website, so cant complain as such, but something I can read in the wc would be great!

First time I see this thread! What a wonderful idea! I used to write film reviews and help publish a (small) german film magazine, so I'd love to be of assistance.
