Howdy!

I'm from the Houston-Galveston area! I love Texas Steampunk. We have a lot of cog acceptance in the State. Great community.

Here in northwestern Vermont ... by way of Chicago.

My lady and I are currently investigating model airship and other Steampunk crafting ... for home and business décor.

Moved to Irving, TX, just recently.  Nice to be back in this part of the country.

I can see the Shenandoah mountains from where I live. Can I call that the foot hills? It's still another 50 miles to Winchester. Okay I'll admit it, I'm only fifty miles from DC as well. Oh, the shame of it! Most of the ladies in my circle would swoon. Me, I just shrug my shoulders, loosen my corset stays, and get back to work on the windmill. I still need 1.21 gigawatts to power my steam engine. Mom just shakes her head and goes back to playing Fishdom. Mom, you're sucking up all my power! I'll never get my steam-powered locomotive/time travel device off the ground at this rate. Sigh, back to reality and hiding in my normal-girl-closet for just a little bit longer. I was brave enough to buy a few steam punk patterns though. hehehe. Hello, world here I come.

I should say I live in Virginia first I suppose. My Aunt in West Virginia can see the Shenadoah mountains better than I can. (sheepish grin)

I've recently relocated to Hannibal, Mo and I'm trying to get a steampunk going in the area, but nothing so far. Other than stange looks and questions.

I know that this is completely unrelated, but do you have a persona that hails from the Indian subcontinent or possibly Indonesia? I have never met a steampunk Maharajah before.

Hey there, Virginian.  I'm a Virginian, too!  Virginia is for lovers, don't ya know.

You might have to travel some to link up w other Virginian Steampunks...I imagine there are some in Richmond, but as far as I know the biggest and most tight-knit community is up here in Occupied Virginia...the DC suburbs.  A handful of us live together in a gloriously decorated house outside of Vienna...sittin' around on leather couches in the house library smoking pipes and hookahs chattin' and drinking absinthe.

If you've a vehicle, you should come meet up some time.

Hi,
NYC area. Just joined and am looking for any type of event dealing with victorian era and 1880s-1937.  Welding and sculpture events or machinist shows are cool too.  I have a Harley too so I go to those shows too.  I make a lot of my own stuff like hats, goggles, guns, train models and coats.  A lot of good con safe stuff made of plastics and foams.
