Gilroy, California.
Thirty minutes south of San Jose.
Six hours north of LA.
In the middle of glaric and mushrooms.
Hey, I know Gilroy! I was there just a couple weeks ago on my way home from the Bay Area. Howdy, neighbor!

It's really not that bad, but I asked someone once who had lived in Morgan Hill for ten years and he swears he had never heard of Gilroy until I said something.

Well, "Morgan Hill" sounds vaguely familiar but beyond that means nothing to me, so... there you go.

No surprise there. Morgan Hill really is lesser known than Gilroy. It's our neighbor, just ten minutes north of us. They're known for their mushrooms, while Gilroy is known for its garlic (I think we got the better deal there).

We've got plenty of lawyers in town. (jk, got nothing against lawyers.) And if we don't have vampires, then those poor teenage girls that plague the internet with their poorly written, overly dramatic poetry and fanfics are going to be so disappointed. I had a friend in Grass Valley once but I don't know much about it. What's it known for?

I'm Frosty and I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I have been a fairly peripheral fan of Steampunk until more recently, and have just begun to delve into Steampunk artwork. Nice to find a forum of common interest!

Ken from San Diego here. Any San Diego groups that coordinate here and not thru Yahoo or other sign ups I'd rather not do? Also, where is the ComicCon 2011 meet up info? Col. M
