I'm willing to travel within a one to two hour drive of Dallas. Anything in that range on a Sat would be fine with me. And I would be willing to pitch in to help on the cost.

I will also be A-Kon and the Abney Park concert that Saturday night. I think we definitely need to schedule a meet at the convention. Something during the day on Saturday and maybe even something after the show would be wonderful. As I am up in Sherman I suspect most meetings outside of the con will end up being a bit far for me unless they are in Dallas so this is something I am definitely interested in doing.

I have a small problem or two... If I save very diligently from now until the start of A-Kon, I can afford to attend all three days, but will have no money left for anything but the entrance fee. Which leaves me with no place to crash.  Also, I have no way to GET there, so i was wondering if anyone going happens to passing through or live near Orange, Texas so I can join them on there trip? |

I had to spend nearly $1000 on desperately needed dental surgery, and with that kind of debt, there is simply no way I can afford to go. I still very much want to, but there's just now way, financially. |

Tywyn, I am sorry to hear that. Debt is no fun.
I ended up getting a room for BOTH nights (YAY) and saving some money on the total cost of the room. But in order to do that I had to go from two queens to a king so I still have crash space but it would involve the floor and maybe an air mattress....
I do look forward to meeting everyone there. We will definitely have to plan a meetup time and place. I thought I had seen a programming schedule but cannot find it now....ugh
