I'm so glad to hear that! I tried to get to the old Ning, and it didn't seem to exist any longer.
Is tonight a gathering, or next wednesday? I work around the corner from Epoch, and while I've other engagements this evening, I truly hope to revive my attendance!

I wish I could start making some of the Austin meet-ups, but I live about an hour and 45 minutes away and don't usually get off work till 6 so week nights are pretty much out for me.

We're I a woman less secure in her own awesomeness, I'd worry what sort of impression I made I wish I could start making some of the Austin meet-ups, but I live about an hour and 45 minutes away and don't usually get off work till 6 so week nights are pretty much out for me.
I'm certain we'll come up with some weekend entertainment sooner or later, what with summer being upon us. Where abouts are you? |

I'm familiar with the area, seeing as I drive to and from Dallas at least once a month. I'd scout around the colleges... TCC, Baylor, ect... there are bound to be a few steampunks in your neck of the woods to keep you company! |

I would imagine there are. I just haven't had a chance to run into any of them as yet. |

I would suggest locating a place of comfort(such as a coffee house or the like) then posting on a bulletin board(either physical or online) and just start "hanging out" at the "regular meeting area". That is not quiet how we started but but it's pretty much how we've ended up! We actually started here at Brass Goggles. We were just lucky enough that we were visiting Brass Goggles and all happened to be in the same area. By presence alone, we have escalated in numbers ever since! Arvis |

No A-Kon for me. It's always terribly scheduled. For the past several years, it was on my birthday, and I've got better things to do. This year, its 3 days prior to my annual colorado camping trip.
Have fun and take photos of neat stuff for us!

Hi, I'm in The Woodlands area, but have little to no transportation (bicycle). Is there anyone around Spring or that area that I can meet and chat with or something? I've never met anyone in person who's into steampunkery, then again it's not like I go to parties.
