Hey guys,

Instead of bombarding you with a new topic everytime I have an announcement, I think I'll just make one topic, and update it anytime I have something new to talk about. That way those of you that really like to follow my work, can just add it to your notify list, and for those who think my project sucks, or is some electro/coldwave garbage (lol), you don't have to read it.  Tongue

So with that said, I'd like to point you to my newest recording. Yeah it's a cover, I know I've probably released almost as many covers as I have original pieces, but this one is a cover of one of my favorite (not so well known) songs.

King's Cross, by The Pet Shop Boys... Before you say wtf?? The PSB??!! Please be aware that they have released some truly beautiful songs, and not just a bunch of new wave disco hits. This one happens to fall into the previous category. It's about Neil Tennant being lonely at the King's Cross train station in London (or something along those lines, judge the lyrics for yourself). Enjoy (or don't).  Grin

Good idea, VP.  Do you want any particular housekeeping on this thread, or will you see it grow as it will?  (For example, deletion of non-update posts etc?)

Oh no that's ok but thank you. I don't mind if it's used for othr conversations, particularly if the pertain to my project. I mean if someone starts up a sub-thread about something completely unrelated, feel free to clean it up if you like.  Cheesy

I must say, I am quite flattered by this wonderful review, and it inspires me to go work on more new music =)

Some quick updates...

I got myself a new vocal compressor/processor, and have put it to good use. The results can be heard on the songs on my Myspace profile.

I also went and cleaned up the tracks that are up there, as well as adding a slot for a fifth song.

A Day sounds better than ever (Stronger beats, and more prominent vox)! The Last Express has much clearer vocals, and I fixed the timing of the vox on the second verse/chorus.

Sonnet de l'Absinthe sounds great too. Pashas vocals are much much cleaner, and I took off a lot of the effects, because they were drowning out her voice.

I didn't get that Video Game contract, but I'm going to go ahead and develop the track I wrote for them as one of my new pieces for Behold the Machine.

Out of curiosity how much is your new album going to cost? I'm one of those sorts that still goes in for hard copies(especially if it comes with a booklet of artwork, or other truly inspired stuff in addition to the cd) and while I'd love for your stuff to be avalible at iTunes...well...I like the thought of having an extra spiffy CD(since you seem the type to want to add some reason to buy the physical medium beyond the music) from someone i can have a dialog with.

Well it will be fair for sure ($15 at the most). I will be selling it through CDbaby, and if someone decides to pick it up and publish it on a real label, then the price will probably change.

I just want to make sure the people can get it for less than $20 (after shipping, and misc costs). I really don't care about making money, I just want to cover production costs.
