Indeed. This is going well.

Our numbers swell upon the hour.
So how many people do we need to constitute an official invasion? More then 4 I suppose. Unless we're planning to just attack the post office or something

Squirrel and I are away then, so we won't be able to join you. Next time though.

Have fun.

I guess I should wave and join in.  Can't make the singing though, (you should be grateful for small mercies) .

I think I'm still going to be in Hastings getting sloshed on the 2nd, so I'm afraid I'm going to have to miss this one.

I don't know Oxford very well, so does anyone know a good car park nearby? What to put into a Sat-Nav to find it would be handy too  Smiley
Or is there a better way of getting there?
I may end up getting a bit lost knowing me, so if anyone's willing to pm me their mobile number just in case that would be awesome  Smiley

And does anyone know if there's any footwear restrictions in the museum? My normal Steampunk boots have a steel heel plate so may not be allowed...

There is either the park and ride outside of town or there is a multi story in the middle of town. I don't know of any restrictions on footwear but I will have a look.

So it turns out I will in fact have finished getting sloshed and will be on my way home on Saturday, so I might be able to make this afterall.  I just have absolutely no idea what time I'll be getting back - some time mid afternoon I would predict, as my parents have to head of to a friends aniversary, so if people are still around and planning to head to a pub or something I may very well be along.

Expect a phonecall around 2:20ish from me, when i'm completely and utterly lost (and most probably ten metres away from where I need to be! Every time I ask for directions it turns out the place is litterally just round the corner!)

Awwww  Cheesy  Here's some directions to be going on with.

Go down Cornmarket st (the one next to the clock tower and between the two banks) till you face Debs. Without crossing the road turn right by the bookshop and carry on right down the road and its on the right side of the road. Don't ask the way to the Steampunk exhibit ask the way to Blackwells or The Museums itself.

On Saturday 30 January, the Museum of the History of Science, Oxford, is
hosting 'Steampunk Live Manikins / Steampunk Live Mannequins' from 2 to
5 pm.  It is billed as 'An afternoon celebrating Steampunk fashion,
ornament and jewellery, displayed by mannequins in the Museum
galleries'.  Everyone is welcome to join in.  Come dressed in as
demonstrative a steampunk style as you dare, stand and walk around,
posing whenever possible, and generally being observed and admired.  If
you sign up for 10 minutes on 'the plinth', you will be photographed and
added to a web slide-show that will become part of the permanent on-line
legacy of the now-famous Steampunk Exhibition.  You could even take a
turn on 'the catwalk'.
