I looked at doing an LLM (Law Masters degree) earlier this year, but financial matters squelched that very rapidly. The course fees were ridiculous and nobody seems to offer funding. Now I'm stuck working part time at a local theatre, and I'm not sure how much longer that will last. The chap I mostly worked with is leaving and it sounds as though I haven't networked enough there as the other trainee seems to think he's getting the full time job. It's just wasting my time and isn't paying enough. I can do all the stuff but as I don't have official bits of paper to say so I seem to be regarded as a potential disaster in the making!
To be honest I want to get out of there and make money as a writer, but I have no idea how to do it. At the moment I'm trying to write as many sample articles as I can with a view to eventually sending the best ones off to likely publications.
I have even considered teaching, but nobody seems to want History or Politics (the only two subjects I'd stand any chance of handling) and having worked in IT tech support in a school I really wouldn't want to have to keep a batch of modern teenagers under control without something persuasive such as, say, a shotgun!
On a better note I am currently tidying 20-odd years of Lego in the attic. Things are being assembled to check all the bits are present, dismantled, put through the ultrasonic cleaner and then bagged with their instructions for storage. Well, apart from the classic space sets. Those are far too cool to hide in a plastic box in the attic!

Been playing too much Mount & Blade Warbands, great game, but been playing a modification called The Hunt mod, which involves firearms <slaps the muskets barrel with a palm and winces as the hot metal burns his skin> and hunting werewolves <jerks a thumb over his shoulder> Fantastic fun, but its done me in I think.
