excellent idea, but could we incorporate Miss Gypsys idea of a steampunk circus? We could be like the Girl Genius circus! huzzah!

in other good news, my parcel finally arrived full of culinary goodies from the homeland. I am in heaven... *onomnomnom*

5" heels are my top choice. I like how they make you straighten up and you feel powerful walking in them. It's a lot like wearing a corset. If I'm wearing some nice tall heels and a corset, nothing can stop me.

I'm 5'6", but fortunately most of the men I've dated recently are over 6ft tall, so I can always pull off wearing heels.

I know that feeling  Grin  I have  the heels but still need the corset. I'm thinking of starting a fund - all donations welcome Cheesy

I tend to attract  guys of the 6ft nature so heels are more a must then a fashion statement

I would say it's a practical fashion statement, which are the best kind. It can be awkward standing and trying to smooch with fellows who tower above you. I sprain my neck and they hurt their backs haha. So, the heels help a good bit with that kind of physical exercise.

As for the corset, I've found a couple of mine on Ebay for under $15. I recommend searching there. Just make sure you write in the price box what you're looking for. Start with .01 cent as the minimum and then go 5 or 10 dollars under what you would spend maximum. Oh, and be sure to check the shipping rates, since some of those sellers can be quite devious in putting a corset up for sale at a dollar and then charging 20 dollars shipping.

I know ouch city. I need to start carrying around a stool  Wink

Is that with proper boning or plastic stuff. I'd have to have proper stuff.
I'm aware of the sneaky tricks I once got some lovely vintage beads but the seller had put £5.00 handling on top of the shipping and basic cost and I hadn't seen it before I got to paying grrr.

Oh, I quite like the idea of a steampunk colony! But where would such a place be located, as we are all quite spread out?
(an aside, at 5' I can wear whatever height heel I like, and I find the expressions on people's faces hilarious when I step out of said heels and sink quite a few inches!)

By a bit I mean alot.
I think it should be as simple as making a magnetic feild that cancels out the earth's but thats pretty much impossible as far as I understand things now, however! With greater understanding, I will one day ... venture to the sky.

Well I bought one of his Doomsday Device kits a while ago, so when I saw that he was offering elephant renewer I thought it was worth a try. Poor old Horace was getting on a bit so I thought it would be just the thing.

Sweeping bangs might be cute as well, starting off-center a little above your eye.

Edit: Not sure that made sense...So, it would be off center (say, on the right) and would sweep down to the left, with the shortest being above your eyes, and then lengthening down to whatever length the rest of your hair was.

Yes, shorter at the back would be good. maybe do something with bangs. You don't want it shorter then mid ear as you have a round face

It's the Pentax-A 50mm f1.7 - manual focus but thanks to the A position the camera can operate in all modes. The Km is my first DSLR, I've had it for six months and it's great. First set of batteries lasted for about 800 photos and it's just as happy with 1970s K lenses as with the latest DA ones.

I try to avoid forums as a lot seem to be beset by arrogant "I'm a Photographer don't you know" types (most of whom have probably never sold a photo). This is completely alien to me, as far as I'm concerned I take photos and keep the ones I like. I really can't get excited over picking other people's work to bits. So long as it's properly exposed and the composition is pleasing to me I'm happy.
