The Voynich manuscript would probably turn out to be an old D&D book anyway. Anything Indian food in particular? And if that was the case...I swear I would die of shock.

Oh well...if anyone needs anything just go directly to the cook, and hang your stuff on the coat rack.

But some people prefer paper.

*wanders back to her couch and sits back to wait*

Meat in indian food is an abomination.
O.o I know many Indians are vegetarian, but not all of them. It would be a little unusual to eat beef in Indian food though. And veggies are yucky. *Gets up to check on her Vindaloo and finds it ready. Brings it back to her couch* nom, nom, nom.

I'm not sure if you know, but there are other places than work to meet ladies. Do you attractive co-workers have friends or sisters they can set you up with?

Ladies and gents! How is every one?
It's cold outside there's no kind of atmosphere, I'm all alone, more or less. Let me fly far away from here! (in a zeppelin) I want to lie, airshipwrecked and comatose drinking fresh mango juice, gold fish shoals nibbling at my toes. (Can you guess what I've been doing? Also I made a lamp )

Fuuun-Fuuun-Fuuuuuuuuun! In the Suuun-Suuun-Suuuuuuuun!
Oh, a lamp! What kind of lamp?
Fuuuun fuuun fuuuuun, in the suun suun suuun! I have built a super incredibly steampunk hand-lamp, infact the wood stain should be dry and I can begin the assembly of the last few parts when I get the old style flex I bought from ebay Quickest steampunk project I ever did!

I did have a moment of sleep-deprived insanity and figure out how to put a semi-permanent chain around my own wrist!
That acctually looks really good I was going to say something else but then forgot what it was I have remembered again but I have also forgotten again. So I will just talk about my lamp, it's pretty much all there now, all the parts and power supply are designed and decided upon or already made Can't wait to get that wire and finish this thing!

I have yet to have a Steampunk project. All of mine are usually leather or jewelry. I am looking forward to having shop space again in the next six months. I have a few ideas of what I want to make, but at the moment have no where to make them...

It's 18k gold. I wound and cut the links myself.
Most (okay, all) of my projects so far have been jewelery type stuff (amateurish, but a decent start), but soon (Dec. 25th or so) I will have a sewing machine and can start making clothes! I am crazy excited. Almost enough to see if I can get it sooner than Christmas (my family isn't really attached to the date, so it might be possible). I will probably do a lot of linen mock-ups first though.

My own projects have been thus: - A pair of goggles. Made from swimming goggles. They started off terrible (Iteration the First), then I changed the lenses (Iteration the Second), then I decided to alter the strap a little (Iteration the Third). They still look like the work of a pikey. - A laptop I painted in brass and wood tones. The less said the better, and it died recently anyway. Making stuff is not my forte.

Persons intending to travel by open carriage should select a seat with their backs to the engine, by which means they will avoid the ashes emitted therefrom, that in travelling generally, but particularly through the tunnels, prove a great annoyance; the carriage farthest from the engine will in consequence be found the most desirable.

Making stuff can become your forté with practice and dedication though! I'm still not very good at it, but between Cosplay and Steampunk I have made;
A 6' by 1' sword A pair of elongated desert eagles a very large scroll which actually works (unravels and can be written on etc.) A pair of black wings A single white wing (the harness for that was fun ¬_¬) Pauldrons Vambraces Greaves A Jetpack A monogoggle connected to a wrist-mounted control panel (though the wrist-mounted control panel was made by a friend) A 4' mummy of sorts A katana
And that's not even including the actual costumes. And I had NO talent and NO skill...just practice, perseverance and...well, a feet-first attitude LOL

Well, yes I'm getting better, but it's a very slow and at times frustrating process.

That does sound adorable, I'll have to acquire it. Why does my dog only go back to sleep once I'm solidly awake? It is most aggravating... I've only made a necklace and a pin, both using polymer clay. The back of the pin is not on very solidly, so I picked up some super glue at the store yesterday. They're pretty silly, but they were easy and cheap to make, and I still have a ton of the clay and stuff left over. Here is the necklace: And the brooch (I was having trouble with focusing the camera, so it's a little fuzzy):
