Ah-ha! I have found my people at last! I too have been fighting the curse of left-handed genius in a world of tools that seem to defy me, therefore forcing me to become semi-ambidextrous. But no more! I cast of these chains and say unto thee the right hand knows not what the left is doing and that, my fellow southpaws, changes here and now!
Ah, ahem, I mean, good morning all! Might I too be included in this distinguished gathering?

Salutations, Ainsly. *extends left hand*
-> Thorinis: I write from "under". I turn my paper. (I'm going to have to measure the angle on that. Now, I've made myself curious.)

I use the patented run your hand through it and hope for the best technique myself; if you get a gel pen it avoids inky fingers and smudges

Seems we're a 50/50 lot then. more then I normally have met in the outside of Aether. Then again I do not wander around asking people what hand they write with and how they write.

but a little observation, one can generally surmise which hand is dominant on another. where the wristwatch is, which foot leads, which pocket a wallet is in, which pocket someone pulls keys out of, which hand is da pimp hand etc.

The stats I've always heard is that about 20% of the population is left-handed, and there about a 25% chance of left-handedness being passed onto your child (well, 25% per child). But I know a woman who's a righty, and her spouse is a righty, and two of her kids are lefties. Weird. My dad turns the paper almost upside down. I've been trying to write from below the line, as righties are taught to do (they just don't bother w/ us sinister types, hmmm?), instead of smearing my hand along the ink/graphite, but it's hard to remember. My hand doesn't hurt as much when I manage to remember though.

My family was discussing left-handedness last weekend(how the topic came up is a mystery), and my aunt was telling us about the horrors of forcing people to be right-handed. She's a nurse and claims that the psychological stress from that manifests in many ways, from depression to taking it out on others. Think how much better the world would have been had the righties just LEFT us alone?

Hello. I've been lurking for a bit, now, off and on; I'm like one or two others--ambidextrous(or ambisinister, at least some of the time), especially now that uncle arthur has decided on an extended stay; when one hand gets sore while writing, or drawing, or painting, or whatever, I switch to the other. andsometimes I hatch with my left hand just for the effect. so, if lefties are southpaws, and righties, hmmm... I don't know, maybe they're "northpaws." So, which "paws" is an ambidextrous person?

Haha, I have returned from the dark pits of Asia to my home and can now cause havoc among the masses of right handed people across the town. Now all I need is a genetic modifier to make them all left handed and make them all learn to suffer like we have.

Did you recognise it? Was a Zaphod line from the radio series 'Secondary Phase' when Beeblebrox arrives on Ursa Minor (a recent catchphrase from the Tourism board, "When you're bored of Ursa Minor, you're bored of life", resulted in the suicide rate tripling over night).
