After much deliberation, I decided to post this here as well as in off topic. If anyone thinks this is the wrong place, feel free to move it.

My father in law is part of a radio show re-enactment group called the Crosley Radio Players. On October 30th, this year, they are doing a re-enactment of the Orson Welles adaptation of War of the Worlds from the historic Indiana Theatre in Terre Haute, Indiana. The show will be recorded in front of a live audience starting at 8 o'clock eastern time. Tickets will be $5.00 at the door. The show will be broadcast on the 31st on WAXI, 104.9, not sure as to the broadcast time right now. The wife and I are trying to get permission to record it and post to youtube, since WAXI doesn't have streaming on their website. Anyone wanting to attend, I'm sure the Radio Players would love the support.

Due to scheduling conflicts with the radio station, the play will no longer be broadcast, and has been moved to 7 o'clock. We do have permission to tape, though youtube is out, for copyright reasons. I can e-mail the file for private use though. If enough people are interested, I'll see about rapidshare or a torrent.

I too would love a copy. I have the recording of the original broadcast and listen to it from time to time. Good luck to your father and enjoy the show!

I too have the original radio recording and would also love to hear this reinterpretation.

There's also a rerecording done by cast members of the various 'Star Trek' programmes which includes Leonard Nimoy as 'the narrator'.

I would love to come but there is a pond in the way! But please record it, things like this are too precious to not leave a record behind. I also would love a copy.
Good luck ,
Yours

I too would be very much in your debt if I could have a copy of the recording.  Good luck!

The play is actually at 8pm. If anyone stateside does manage to make in there will be a giant spotlight outside the theater. The theater itself is a beautiful thing. Over 100yrs old.

The play was a success! We had about 250 people, which is apparently better than some of the movie turnouts for the theatre, and there was apparently a woman from Indianapolis who came and asked them to perform at a sci-fi convention in Indianapolis next November. I've been up since much to early this morning, so I will review the video tommorrow, and then see about getting it posted. They'll also be offering a high quality audio cd at www.crosleyradioplayers.com sometime in the near future.

Thanks for all the support, and I hope you enjoy the show once I get it posted.

I'm incredibly sorry this has taken so long. We still have not had time to sit down and watch the video, but I was able to get the official audio uploaded. Here it is.
