Isn't the Cello attached by some kind of strap in the video, there doesn't appear to be a stand... My apologies. I hadn't watched that particular clip when I posted my comment. Yes, he quite clearly has it on some sort of strap and has no spike on the end. So, there's no reason why, if his cello is affixed to the strap by the same sort of attachment the ZZ Top guys have, why a cellist couldn't do the 360 degree spin with it!
