Anyone who's bored (and not going to Tewkesbury this weekend!) Might like to pop along to Tutbury Castle to see Ravencrest brandishing weapons from Centuries gone by. Tutbury is a great venue and very picturesque, a nice place to promenade and picnic if you've nothing better to do on Sunday. (I'll be the crossbowman in black, come and say 'Hi'!)

Hope the Tutbury thing went well, I ended up going to the Rempstone country and steam fair instead in the end. Got a load of little bits and bobs to finish off my armour and (planned) goggles :-)

It was a tad damp on Saturday night (can you spel 'Monsoon'? Lol!) but Sunday was glorious! The boys in the arena were fighting like demons and the new quarrels nearly wrecked the archery target so the crossbow is definitely hitting full power now. Cooked stewed lamb, vegetable pottage and 'Wardens in syrup' (Pears in redwine, honey and spices) which was consumed with gusto by the hungry 'Mercenaries', I'll just have to think of something to cook for the next one!
