i incline to the electronic side, tho'
primitive electronica--that does not try to hide the artifice of its making... theremins, pure waveform generated sounds & the like. now, Morton Subotnick may be a meager sideline to 60's kitsch for us, but i can easily visualize another 60's in which modernity's devices were put to another use than making the teen-aged dance.
this album, while more like a zeppelin-out-of-control than any semblance of Victorian aesthetics in itself, has the undeniable advantage of being free:
