I hope you will endeavor to express some of the shared concepts of Steampunk, so your book becomes more than an album of people wearing goggles. I think we all (perhaps subconciously) regard this movement as a "soft boot" of society, an opportunity to begin with the best of the most optimistic age in history and "get it right this time". If the Victorian age had not begun a cycle of world wars, military escalation and holocaust, the benefits of emerging technology might have truly created a better world. It is that better world we promote through our style, our designs, and our courtesy to each other.
That is indeed such a good quote. May I perhaps use it in the book with your permission? It would go well with the photos. |

If I might make a suggestion; what about a "The occultist" section, for I think some ladies or gentlemen around here have a love for the occult, as well.
I would count myself as such, at least.

I just sent in a picture for approval - it'd be the least-steamiest picture in the book if it makes it in  No shirt, no hat, no goggles, no rayguns or other props.. if this pic makes it it, NOONE can use the lack of a costume as an excuse to not participate! |

Due to the high request, this book seems to be growing to more then just people and simple pictures. I'm going to open it up to anyone who wants to send in pictures of anything steamy. Clothing, inventions, decorating, etc. This means a bigger project for me. Also, if people don't have a full outfit and just want to send pics of parts of it, for example a very nice hat, then please do so. I've decided to do more people and their tools and surroundings now.

How high of quality of photo do you need for this? Having landed myself in the sling, I do not believe I'll have a new photo by you're deadline. So I want to make sure i pick the most appropriate of my current phots! (and I cannot use the photoshoot ones for contractual issues)

Also, since i'm expanding the book, the project will take me longer to put together, so the deadline also has been extended. I do not think I will have it done by SteamCon, but I do hope to have it finished shortly after. I would still love to get as many images by July 31st as I can, but I don't mind if some come in later. I'll be doing the page layouts as I get more images.

Hi, I've just checked and the e-mail I sent was definitely sent as I BCCed it to a friend and they got it ok. It's called "Two Entries for the Book". But I haven't had an e-mail back? |

You are allowed to send multiple pictures of one's self in different outfits. You are certainly not limited to one picture. |
