Here's the interview i did with Clive Anderson on Skyarts, if anyone's interested...

I'm passing the thread over to you now Mr Inkerman, it's a lot of fun, i'm sure you'll come up with something good, can't wait to see...

Excellent, Mr. Humphries!

I didn't know you were in Farnham! I was only there today, wandering the fantastic charity shops and purchasing picture pins and brass bolts in Robert Dyas!

Well, my time on the plinth is drawing ever closer. I'm certainly not going to be as impressive as Mr. Humphrie's excellent steam robot. I have been let down at the last minute regarding the publicity material for the cahrity I was going to be publicising (Sophie Lancster foundation). That said, I have done some stuff for it, mainly printing stuff from the web to adorn my flipchart. If you are familiar with the Sophie Lancaster foundation, you'll know that she was kicked to death for looking different. I'm sure that as steampunks, we can empathise with other subcultures and the lack of acceptance from some members of society. I will be charting 60 things that define me as a person during my time up therre with a number of "I am" and "I'm not" statements. It's strange because I had decided to use this approach a few weeks ago and last week before going over to the Asylum, I got a call from Sylvia (Sophie's mum) and she told me that this exactly the approach that they use in their workshops to raise awareness in schools etc.

I won't be too outre during my time on the plinth, but I will be in a steampunkish outfit. I'll be wearing my utilikilt with pouches, New Rocks, a decent shirt and waistcoat and my topper with my goggles on them.

A very noble set of intentions, Mr. Inkerman, and I wish you well, and hope that the recent 'weather' we've had in the south-east is better behaved while you are on the plinth!

I also hope that your utilikilt has sufficent covering power, you will be quite high up, and we wouldn't want to offend/excite the locals...

I'm afraid Herr Doktor has you there, Mister Inkerman...

What date will you be up there? As a Londoner, it would be my pleasure to come and observe.

Please post a photo of yourself on the plinth, Mr. Inkerman, especially for those of us on the wrong side of the pond.

Got back today from the Smoke and my time on the plinth. It was a hoot and over so very quickly. If you feel the need to have a gander, you can find it on:

And Herr Doktor, There was a slight wind up the trossachs moment early on, but i managed to save the blushes I think.

Gosh! There was a bit of a breeze, wasn't there? Still, no problem with the Gorballs, and well done that man!

Last week, the Beeb ran a story about the end of the 4th Plinth project. Out of the 2,400 participants, guess which image they used to illustrate the story on the main page?
