Hello There, We'd like to introduce to you a new live music, club night in Camden (London) called "Ballet of Teeth". It is hosted by ourselves Fearless Vampire Killers. For a long time FVK have embraced the neo-victoria aesthetic and then we found steampunk which facinated us! We have been struck by the brilliant sense of community you all have here. And now we want to combine the steampunk community and the one at Ballet of Teeth. The focus of Ballet of Teeth is to form a regular collective of people, artists, musicians and anyone in between. This night is all about the music and keeping it cheap. So entry is only 50p! and that buys you a badge which gets you in to all successive events FREE! We want lots of people to come together and create a scene within London that hasn't been seen since the days of Andy Warhol and the Velvet Underground. Go to: www.myspace.com/balletofteethclub for more details. And please post on here or email us if you have any questions or want to know more. The next Event is this Sunday 21st June so we'd love to see you there! Kier FVKxxx

Sorry about that... We're just really keen to get everyone involved and we wanted them all to see. It's a bit confusing which area would be best.

Let the moderators sort it out, but I think that since it's a localised affair, Geographical would be best.

I'm removing all the ones that aren't in Geographical.
In cases where you aren't sure where would be best, post in one thread and PM a mod to check!

All I'd suggest here is changing that venue asap. Tommy Flynn's is a poohole of the highest order. We played there last year and vowed never to set foot in the place again.

Well in that case i'd disagree. You may have had a bad experience but we play there alot and it's actually pretty awesome. The success of a night is often down to the promoter and as we do it ourselves it's always good fun. The guy who own Tommy Flynn's is a right dude and the staff are all awesome. Lets get enthusiastic guys! The last night was awesome and we want some steam punks there. I just got a spiffing new waistcoat that i'd love you all to see Lets start something cool! Kier FVK xxx

Yes it was largely due to the promoter that night, but I still don't like the layout of the place - the side-on stage which means only about 10 per cent of the pub can get a clear view of the bands. Also, the stage is tiny - we could just about fit on and there was no room to move.

Well what we do is clear out the stage and move the tables from in front of it. Then all the people from the side of the pub come up the front and watch the bands. It can be a rather intimate experience But anyway... i don't want this thread to turn into a rant about Tommy Flynn's. It's a wonderful place when we're all in it. This is about getting Steampunk involved in our community! So would love to see you all on Sunday! You'll make the place look pretty. Lots of Love Kier FVK xxx

A polite, well-dressed vivacious and gregarious group like us, Vampyre Master? How could they not?
I for one applaud what you're attempting, Fearless, and so soon as I can get to England I'd love to attend.
The more havens we can get happening, the better.

The possibilities each day holds are infinite, mindboggling. The right person, with the right idea, at the right place, the right time, can change history. There are no more excuses.
It's all up to you.

Good question Vampyre Master. We want steampunk to be involved as it's something we've always been interested in but just didn't know it was there. The community here seems really nice and we'd like to, if you and your peers would allow it, give something back by inviting you along. We'd love to be involved and this seems like an obvious step. There's no obligation but it's just an invite to come and be around some like minded people Kier FVK xxx
