It's a clockwork universe...

And who among us gentlemen of Dutch, Belgium and German tongues (and perhaps even further?) are going to visit the marvellous event in Lisse - Zuid Holland, carrying the name castlefest?

At the end of Juli, and the start of August salesmen from various countries come to visit Lisse each year, and install their tents with loot for sale of fantasy, Gothic and medieval origin, while a concert stage is build to entertain the passing audience. In fact, this year TWO concert stages will be build, with famous bands from the local lands and neighbours', continuously playing their melodious stories at the festival. The event has grown to even bigger proportions, and yet more areas of the beautiful keukenhof-castle are put to use.

I have my ticket for all three days (living that close, I can cycle to it even Cheesy), and I hope to, perhaps, meet some people from here! That would be a nice gathering indeed.

Sincerelly,
Joozey

Sunday will probably not be sold out, but on Saturdays you're not likely to enter anymore without an online bought ticket. I heard they had to shut close the doors last year due to too many visitors, and it was raining even.

But great to hear someone's coming! We could arrange a short meeting, especially if more people intent to come.
You heard the lady, join on Sunday Cheesy

Full gear? That sounds most interesting! My "randomly-gathered-together" outfit will surely look pale compared to a fully equipped steampunk couple as yourself, but I would be delighted to meet all of you regardless. There's still quite some weeks to pass 'till showtime though, perhaps I too have caught me some new gear extensions by then Cheesy.

Sincerely,
Joozey

With 'full gear' I merely mean that I will arive in all the gear I have; it is still 'randomly' gathered Smiley Though I must admit I've taken some trouble to get it to fit together Wink

EDIT:
For the record, here is the most recent (and best!) picture I have of my Steampunk gear Smiley

Words cannot express how much I wish I was going to Castlefest. It looks so much fun... but alas, my knowledge of German is... wobbly, at best (having learned it via secondary school foreign languages course and listening to Rammstein), and my Dutch and Flemish non-existent. Plus I'm doing soooo much over the summer as it is.
Still, hope you chaps have a nice time, and don't get too wet!

Speaking English wouldn't be a problem; most, if not all, Dutchies can make themselves understandable in English Smiley Heck, perhaps I could be a tourguide Wink Still, I can understand that if you're busy, you won't be coming Smiley

That is a nice photo, Torvald Smiley. I'm trying to assemble airship deckcrew clothing, but it's not so easy to express the steampunkiness in it.
