It is that time again! I have come up with the rules for the next Gentleman's Challenge. This one is a little different from the previous one in that I will not be giving a specific list of items, but rather a list of where they come from. All items found outside must have a discription of where they were found, or a photograph. This a like a treasure hunt with a creation at the end!

The Items!
- 8 items found outside. As in out of a building, on the ground or in a garbage type place.
- 3 items from a Hardware store.
- 1 item stolen! (you can opt out of this one, but remember, pocket lint counts!)
- 2 items from the bathroom.
- 1 item from a friends house (stolen or borrowed)
- 1 item from a cafe.
- 2 items from a toy store.

A Gentleman's Challenge!

Rules:
   - You do not have to be a gentleman to enter this challenge. Scallywags and Ladies allowed.
   - You must post in this thread that you are participating to be counted in the challenge.
   - Must only use the items on the list in your creation.
   - You do not have to use all of the items on the list, but you must use a minimum of 8 items in your creation.
   - Make what ever you like. Can be functional, or just for fun.
   - You may use what ever tools to build your creation that are at your disposal. Ie: hammer, glue, screwdriver, ect.
   - You will have three weeks to make your creation from the appointed start time.
   - Pictures of the finished creation must be posted on the finishing day by midnight your time.
   - You must list all items used in your creation when you post the finish picture.
   - Have Fun!!

The start date for this challenge is Friday May 22nd, and the finishing day is Friday June 12th.

Enjoy!

Oh, I hope I can participate, but it is drawing unconfortably close to mid-year exams, so I shall see!

This thread has now taken the place of #2 in the sticky.

Nefthys, I know scheduling is always going to be difficult for someone, but IIRC this co-incides with the UK university exam period! I will not be able to take part myself, (holidaying in Edinburgh) which is a shame as I really enjoyed challenge #1, had a rest for #2 and now getting withdrawal symptoms! Maybe next time, really like the parts requirements  Grin

And can you use paint?

As long as it's one of your objects. I'm sure you can find lots of types of paint in hardware stores. I'll let multiple colours of paint count as just a single item of "paint" though. So you can go crazy with colours.

Go right ahead and dismantle anything you need as long as the item is listed!

I started cutting and grinding part of my Secret Project.... but rats... I think my drill bit is dull.... it's taking longer for this part of the project than I thought (I should be able to get the rest of it done tomorrow, or at least by Sunday)..... Then onto the next part of the assembly..... fun fun fun..... Grin

I'm a tad late for the get go. Do you fine gentlemen, scallywags, and ladies, mind if I take part in said expenditures and shenanigans? I'm not sure if I can build anything worth while but by gum it's worth a shot and seems like something fun to do with my spare time!
