Thought I would start posting with an interesting tip off!

Information from the Times : http://property.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/property/investment/article5816710.ece

Victorian memorabilia up for sale
The contents of a Victoriana museum are up for grabs, lock stock and traditional beer barrel

In the beer cellar at the Shambles, two bearded yokels sit on a bench enjoying a pint, clay pipes in hand. On the shelves behind the bar are rows of glass bottles, beer mugs and stoneware flagons, and there are smoky smudges on the ceiling above the gas lamps. The locals look as if they’ve settled in for the night, their pink cheeks suggesting a life of labour exposed to the elements in the fields – or perhaps a pint too many.

This portrayal of bucolic nostalgia is not a scene from the BBC series Lark Rise to Candleford, rather a museum of Victorian life in Newent, Gloucestershire. It closed down last year, however, and everything in the room – from the beer barrels to the bench – will be up for sale by auction in May.
