It makes sense that Conlan knows alot about the boars head Bandits, right? Knowing your enemy is the first rule of The art of war, which Conlan is no doubt familiar with.

OK, here's a pic of molly, as I see her (in the blue-on-black blueprint pic): And this was her before the re-addition of the 75mm cannon: As you can no doubt see, my drawings no longer really resemble Druillet's. ...but at least they can be deciphered...hopefully. I also just noticed that the "before 75mm" photo has a completely different cab and turret configuration. *sigh* So much for great artwork, lol. Ok, here goes the Conlan, Dear and Grimaulkin pic (more detailed or better iterations may follow; I'm thinking of returning to painting with a mouse in PSP. might work, might not.). Hopefully this will post... gaaagghhh, I need to clean that up some more, lol. Maybe another iteration in a few days.

They have far more interest in the 7-7 than molly. And the Boar knights are nothing if not precise. Also, I think Malc has been hiding within that APC long enough, what say you we give him a little Mano y mano battle?

Sounds OK to me, but I'm going to be in and out this evening, first supper, now I have the weekly jam session, but I'll put an entry in before i go. I'll be back after I post this time, in about three hours.

So... We brits seem to have been ousted from play, I take it?
I'm sorry but... I thought we were going to have a bit of a break from combat. Did anyone pass this by Royce, or frankly, anyone else before we decided we'd go head long into another tedious battle?
I know when we started that we all agreed we'd be active. We're not being inactive, it's just we can't be AS active as you lot. I have a lot of things taking my attention IRL, and frankly Ben, Scarlette, and the New Lad in his sand runner have all been left in the dust. I'm sure Francis from a while back couldn't catch up now. Red even had to leave our ranks because he couldn't keep up. And right now I can barely keep up and I'm on here every day which is a luxury other people don't have.
Sorry if I sound harsh but I'm really into this, I think it could go places, but I MISS input from JohnSix, and the other players that have been left behind in the wake.
Can you guys just... slow down, a bit? We're meant to be a team, here, and starting random battles when the rest of the players haven't been warned or anything seems like a kick in the teeth to the rest of us with busy scheduals.

about to get working on it now; I wondered if perhaps it was going a bit too quick, but I'm on less-stressful meds now, and working on not pulling any drama moments like I did in the Steam London Universe, and didn't want to seem to be doing another one.
It's probably obvious, but just for reference, can somebody please tell me how far back to erase?

I must agree with Skinner. I don't have the time to post all the time, every day and I don't think others do as well. I do post a bit more than I think I should, mostly when I feel the thread needs a boot. This was probably actually my fault for not just pushing the plot ahead. But I would like to see input from the other players - now is just a hectic time for most. I'm busy and have some emotional issues I'm having to get a handle on. I'm not mad at anyone, just think we should reign it in slightly.

Well right after his explaination of his knowledge of dear is a good starting point.
An initial reference to the Anglian roadblock, such as perhaps stella for example changing Dear's notice of teh Anglians to something about suddenly seeing the vehicles appear, then stop in the road, might make the new thread segment flow better. but then, that's IMHO.

Hmm perhaps the crew of the tank surrenders, due to their being conscripted and just wanting to go home. I must admit, blowing things up can make one rather discouraging.

I'd still like for Malc and D'Thurberville to face each other in their tanks at some point; he's Malc's version of Conlan's Shamus, so to speak. (later, not in the current roadblock); malc could take care of teh Anglian tank, if desired. Or, not...

The D'Thurberville idea seems okay. I sort of figured that Richard has one sort of "head officer" working for him in every nation, like Shamus for Scotland. My posting over the next couple of weeks may be erratic and I can't make any promises. Partly due to organization I have to do and partly that I may not be in the mood. If it is getting stuck, just message me and I'll kick it off again.

I'm online, but from the library, so I don't have the Conlan Pic with me to post. I'll post it later this PM at home. I was wondering if it would be OK to make a Steam and Sand image gallery, either here in Portrayal, or in Aural/Ocular? It might make it easier to find the images (assuming anybody wants to find 'em, LOL ). Mina, I'm sorry about your dual post problem; there didn't seem to be an alternate way to do the erasures. Going to go and look at the thread now, see if I need to respond to anything. BTW, I was thinking that it might be a solution to the rapid-posting problem if we start waiting for people on opposite sides of "the pond"; in otherwords, If someone on the Western/"Yank" side of things posts, then wait for a "Brit" / European person to post before adding a new one, and likewise if somebody on the "Brit/European side of things posts, then have them wait until a Western/"Yank" person posts. it might cause some seemingly-interminable waits, but it might also take the guesswork out of deciding whether to post or not. My apologies, if it has already been suggested and/or tried.

It's a good idea. And I think we had that for a while during the original steam london. If we reinstate it, it may take longer, but the story will be far better I feel.
