This is going to be rather short and perhaps a little incoherent but here we go.

Well there was a lot of fighting starting off with Dear pelting people with rocks to distract the guys at the door while you all cleared out the library.  A book on rebuilding the world was found.  The boars attacked but Molly and the steam armor Nigel found in the basement managed to hold them back while loot was put on the 7-7.  Dear got grazed by a bullet and then joined Nigel in the armor.  Together they fought Nigel's arch nemesis and blew his cannon up.  Skinner was shot in the arm and Red ran off looking for clues about his family.  After both MWBailey and Nigel distroyed a large batch of bandits and solders the rest ran away.  Nigel discovered Dear's past and took her aboard the 7-7 which is now carrying his giant robot.

And I've just put a halt to our apparent pulling away from the house so that you could catch up, so rather than leaving you, the rig HERSELF was pulling off by accident when Skinner fell on the brake release.

Skinner is convinced that Red has run off with the Scots and will not be a happy bunny when she's coherent.
But then again, when IS she a happy bunny?!

As far as I'm aware, there are still more Anglians at the bottom of the Island that are going to attack us anew. But now we have more weaponry!

Before we're through with the manor, could we load up on items as well as books? Like, steam-powered sub machine guns, or cases of gold and jewels? How about Victoria's Crown?

((Also, little nitpicky, but, Didn't Cordelia die in childbirth? Could she have been in that photograph? And wasn't the maid called Madeline?))

I think Red may be away some time!

I have an idea that 'Richard' is not a Scot but an English 'pretender' to the throne of Anglia who has been away up North and brought an army of mercs down with him to recapture some territory. But having only a small band settles mainly for looting and pillaging. Maybe his base camp is a destroyed Atrium... like the one we passed earlier. There might be a link with whatever creature was spotted before somewhere there. In any case you can bet Red's parents are tied to this Richard somehow.

Feel free to depart without Red and he'll make occasional posts and try and catch up with the 7-7 at some point later. He's going to need a good story to get back in Skinner's good books!

Maybe Red and Malc can go after the creature (presumably a large predator cat) when red gsts back; maybe I should have Malc mention the "big cat" tracks he's seen to the rest of the crew at some point... gotta have some use for his 8-bore rifled musket...

Conlan isn't dirty, he just fails to realize!
As for Dear's ring, Conlan will be giving a bit of a help so it is no doubt they will find her ring.

What would be the chances of hooking up Molly, out-of-gear, to the back end of the 7-7 so Malc can repair/replace that bent guide rod? Molly could serve as a powered caboose/second locomotive (like the old-time "double headers" that used to be used on steep portions of steam railways). turn her around, and use reverse as the forward, pushing mode, so tyhat the back door could be used as a corridor transfer.

Molly probably would not serve as a room for Dear Beatrice, however; Malc would need someplace to sleep/live/etc -  Other crew could take up residence there to make room for Dear, however; it just wouldnt be as smooth a ride, Molly being basically a glorified tank (I've thought that originally a tank of her type would have had a crew of about 3, maybe as many as 5, depending on theatre of operation).

Well, I don't see any reason why Molly can't hook up to the back of the rig, anyhow. She wouldn't need to push too hard, either, but just enough to keep the tracks rolling so she isn't pulling too hard on the connection. I mean, she's a lovely girl, but she's just a little bit... heavy, after all. No, I'm not calling her fat... Besides, then we have a back-facing turret in case of ambush from the rear. Always good!

And Nigel, that was a brilliant little snippet of Skinner logic. Well Played!

Just to clarify- if the sleeping car is how I think it is, then Skinner's taken a single bunk room at the very rear of the car, away from the group, for that very reason. She would love to have the clout to sleep where the men sleep, but she's just a little fearful that she might be taken quite the wrong way. She's actually rather shy, and sleeps in her clothes anyway. There isn't even another bed in there, it's just her bunk.

If she could, she'd sleep in the cabin. And honestly I might have her start napping there, so she can be kicked awake in case of emergency.

I was planning to have Malc scout forward and find one of the reasons for the bombardment: the Cart Track being in a shambles, and unusable, whuich he would convey with a chalk panel at distance (he knows morse code and can flash Molly's lights in morse, but he's not sure if teh 7-7 crew know how to do that.

Also, it might be a good time to hook up to the rear of the train, or still use her to scout ahead if desired.

And Molly's not fat. In fact, she's burnt several fatty pounds of ammo in that last fight. True, though, she did gain a bit back when malc fed her the Scots' leftovers (leftover haggis? ..eewww, never mind Cheesy Lips sealed)

LOL

I must confess, however, that I've never had haggis; not sure if I want to, but then again, they make bagpipes (or used to) from the sheep's stomach, so...

EDIT: I've been in the same room with it, but didn't try it; besides, the relative who fixed it had a long history of cooking gag meals (cooked us a skunk once and didn't tell us until after Mom, Dad, and I had eaten it...)

What did it taste like?

I'd rather have a skunk as a pet, to be honest. I heard they make lovely pets. Makes sense, as they're related to ferrets.

Huh. Sounds like it could do with a bit of gravey or something, then.

It's probably less the skunk and more the relative! Even chicken can taste like crap if a bad cook is responsible for it.

I'm eternally curious, though. I'd love to try more, err, gamey meats. And that would count!

(maybe less game and more roadkill but, there ya go)

I heard a statistic somewhere that a good percentage of American tourists think there's an actual haggis animal that they hunt to make the dish... but I think the Scots try to push that rumour quite a bit...
