Sorry I haven't been in recently. I'll jump in the machine and go back to rectify that immediately.

There. I've been here since last Tuesday.

I suppose everyone was on holiday - how are things with you, James?  *sound of glasses tinking as Theo clears off the bar and throws a towel over his shoulder*  A short one, then?

Oh, they have their ups and downs, back and forths, you know.  Just last week I took off one day in a relative way and came back the previous night.

Been a bit off rum ever since that all-inclusive diving trip to Egypt. One too many rumdrinks with crazy Russians and swimming in the pool with your clothes on, then waking up beneath a couple of people in a bathtub...

Vodka all the way here. Cheers.

Make that two and I'll handle the next round.  Sorry, I have been away for a while.  Don't ask....all I can say is that I am glad to be wearing clothes again after that mission.

*Damien takes a step into the room, nodding in approval at the lavish setting, and hangs his coat at the rack near the door. He seats himself near the fire, lighting a rolled cigarette, and exhaling slowly, watching the aromatic fumes drift lazily towards the ceiling. Nodding curtly towards current company, he takes up a glass of white zinfandel wine, sipping discerningly*

Good evening one and all!

Mr Grey- I saw your offer in the GAH! room.  Although I most assuredly feel better now I most certainly shall not turn down the opportunity of trying one of your toddies!  I don't think I've had one before  Cheesy

Boil water.  In a short glass, mix one shot good whiskey, the juice of 1/2 a lemon, and a dash of freshly ground ginger root.  Fill the remainder of the glass with hot water, and sip down while hot. Guaranteed to kill or cure, whether you have a cold or not!   Wink  Cheers, Theo

I honestly swear by hot toddies for getting the worst of a cold out of your system although I include a spoonful of honey rather than ginger root

My brother swears by a really hot curry as well as hot toddies, and it seems to work... Whenever I'm getting a bit bunged up I try to get a really hot and spicy curry down my neck, it seems to clear the passages.

Lots of garlic is a reasonable substitute for the curry if curry is not your 'thing'. And it doesn't give you the 'burning ring'.

By the way, is anybody serving at the bar. Shop!

Try hot toddies with honey and ginger. Heaven. And you can substitute whisky for brandy.

It's only grown up lemsip for the first 3 or 4. I think you'll find, if you drink enough, you will eventually regress right back to the chuckling and dribbling stage of human infant development. Ah, happy days....

Ahhhhh.... AAAAHHHHHhhh... may I partake of one of CHOOOO!!!... (excuse me please)... one of those hot toddies. I've been sat on a roof all week. Climbed up there to perform some interesting observations of the northerly cloud formations we've been having recently and the damned ladder blew down.

Ah, Dr Jenks I  presume? ( Nod to the wise,  am Dr Jenks other half, and have been searching on here for him for some time, with no successs. Apparently it was a small matter of a missing full stop. or what the Americans call a period, I believe. How unusual, for a period to inhibit communication between the sexes... )

Kill what exactly?  I'm not sure, I can't say I'm a particularly good shot.  In all likelihood we only wounded it  Undecided
