Sunday trip
The pumping station was amazing, Sir Arthur and me met with engineer, so slight improvement on the attenedence, you all missed an awesome day out
I totally concur with JennyWren. The pumping station is amazing. The think that amazed us wa how quiet the engne was - just the occasional clacking or hiss of steam and the huge beam moved effortlessly. Visually, the whole scale of the engine was amazing, especially bearing in mind that this was one if four engines in the engine house (the other three haveing been left to rot). Also, the incredible painted wrought iron used as decoration if the engine hall.
I think the visit was summed-up by the glazed look on Jenny's eyes as she watched and listened to the engine moving.
Jenny and Sir Athur, it was a pleasutre meeting you both.
Pictues soon
