I am not in the area, but I grew up near Hershey.  On saturdays the Middletown Market should be a 20 min ride for you from Harrisburg (south east of Harrisburg) and is a good flea market.  Haven't been there in a few years but a good place to start looking for parts for steamy projects or decorating.  That is the only real close thing I can think of.  Head to front street for night life and down to the waterfront for a good picnic. Hope you enjoy the area.

A bunch of us are having a party in Harrisburg on Monday to watch the upcoming steampunk episode of Castle.  Everyone's welcome to join us Smiley

Nobody's getting dressed up for it as far as I know.  We'll probably be in pajamas.

(x-posting this in some other threads, too)

I live in Lancaster, not that terribly far of a drive to Harrisburg... and may be moving to Harrisburg soon! Anyone doing anything for Halloween? I have absolutely NO PLANS thus far, and it would kill me to be stuck at home...

I'm about 1/2 south of Harrisburg now, but I lived in your neck of the woods (Shickshinny) for 10 yrs prior to moving to MD in 1996.

Heh. I was there about 3 months ago for a WoW guild weekend get together. Unfortunately, my knee does not fare well for the trip. This getting old crap is for the birds...

Is there a FB group together for this area (NJ, NY, PA)?

Been doing it for about eighteen years now.  As long as 81' okay, no problem.  And that I work mid's has it's up's as well.  I'm coming into work for eleven 81 north is jammed.  Going home around seven thirthy, 81 south is jammed.   Excellent timing.

But of course there are those unique incidents; like thursday when we had those bad storms come through.  I was norht bound and by the Gap, right lane closed.  There seemed to be a barn roof on it. Undecided  And the state police refused to ticket the owner!  Now 81 is laned for 'motor' vehicles only!  And this was a barn roof blocking the road!!  Now were is justice?? Angry
