You also know Royersford better than the rest of us. I suggested the steak house because I knew it was nice but I know of no place in Royersford that is easy to find, good safe parking, good food and we can all get in. (some might be under 21) I am 62 so I can go into a place with a liquor license but I don't know the ages of the rest of you.

You may have a point. Only place I can think of on short notice is Annamarie's, but they only serve breakfast and lunch. I'm also old enough for a bar,  but until we get a full census, we won't know for sure about everyone.

Alternatively, if someone could pick me up, the steak house would probably work fine.

A couple of us on another list are talking about this Friday (Feb 12) catching the opening of "The Wolfman" in King of Prussia. Anyone here interested? I will post more info as soon as it is ironed out.

Hello all.  New to the Steampunk movement, but not to the literature. Smiley  Living in slower/lower Delaware, so hopefully I can make some event in the Wilmington or Philly areas.

without sounding too creepy. i need a steampunk gal/gals who would want to do a outdoor photo shoot next to my steampunk bike.
http://brassgoggles.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,21913.0.html

i am looking to do something in new hope the 3rd or 4th weekend in march.  thats when i will be there shooting my bike in all the cool spots around new hope and lambertville. the build off pics have to be up by April 01. If you are interested in showing up dressed in your steampunk gear let me know. we dont even have to ever have to show your face. goggles or a mask would work also.

my theme is the intergalactic traveler on her time traveling vespa scooter. i am looking for some riding pics, sitting at an out door cafe, on the bridge looking down at the water.

Unless the the royersford meetup was on a day between march 11th and 16th (the remainder of my spring break after i return from Egypt) then i shall need a ride from someone over 21, boarding students cannot be picked up by minors.

I'm new to Steampunk and I'm trying to read and learn as much as I can about the subject.  I'm close to both Philly and DE.  I'm in Maryland.

Greetings, fellow airship pirates, machinists, Victorian-revivalists, and timepiece makers,

My name is ClockworkTopher, though I usually am addressed as Ash or Ashley Renee, and I live in the DelCo suburbs of Philadelphia. Currently I am a student of History (go figure, right?) and Gender Studies at Temple University, so my time is split between the inner-city and suburbs. I am always interested in meeting for tea and conversation, and I hope to potentially see a developing sort of meet-up through this board.

I hope that I can meet each and every one of you, for the most part.

Lacking a leader we seem to be having a problem getting this thing going. There is a 'Meet-up' with a group called "Delaware Valley Ladies and Gentleman's Society" on April 2, 2010 in Bristol Pa. It is going to be at the historic King George II Inn. 7 pm for evening cocktails and yummy Libations.
For more info they have a Facebook page and a Live Journal page, as well as their own web site. I have joined but have not met them yet.

Quite a few of us in this area... I recently moved to the Lancaster area from Doylestown. It would be lovely to do some sort of meetup. I'm definitely hitting the Steampunk World Fair too. Soooo excited about that. xD

As usual- Philly has all the cool kids and Pittsburgh just sits there like a lump.... :\

But, we have managed to gather a few kindred souls and all of you in the city of brotherly love are welcome here in the 'burgh any time it suits your fancy. Our little group is hosting a couple of events this summer and I hope you'll all be able to join us periodically. If nothing else, there's always Steel City Con in August. Smiley If that's not the perfect excuse to make a mini SPWF, then I don't know what is!

hey now...i love Pittsburgh! and for what it's worth, the central PA thread was pretty well in need of resuscitation itself. i'm working on it...

In all reality, "steampunk" is anachronistic, innit? Otherwise it's just Victorian dress-up.

chain smokin', sleep needin', apparel designin', mohawk havin', tea drinkin', steady cursin', boy charmin', card readin' rabble-rouser and amusement park cleverly disguised as a woman

Greetings All!  Never fear, organization is coming...eventually...
I will be organizing a Steampunk dinner-possibly at Stokesay Castle, between now and the end of July, as well encouraging attendance to the Steamweks Ball July 3rd at Club Chameleon in Lancaster.

Who am I...dear friends I am Major T. Girth of the Imperial American Air Corp!  If you were at SteamPunk World's fair you may have noticed the IAAC presence....5 uniformed airmen and our escorts.
The IAAC is planning an intense campaign throughout the coming year including a series of propa...er...education films, the release of our e-book as well as several recrui...social events!
I am taking my nearly 30 years of running medieval society events (including helping run the first wicked fair) and turning those engines to running Steampunk activities in the Eastern PA region.  The 10 members of the IAAC as well as those cog armed zombie hunters of P.A.I.N. will be bringing new life to the sleeping bronze giant called the Phillburbs...

Do you want to know more...?
