Dear All,

We're setting up a festival of films at The Asylum this year, for the edification of the inmates.

The screenings will be hourly slots, made up of a 'Victorian News & Ads' reel then a selection of short films.  This is a nonprofit venture to help promote independent steampunk films.

If you have made a steampunk short film in the last 2 year's and would like to submit it(free) please email steampunkfilmfestival@yahoo.co.uk with a link to your film. The deadline for submissions is the 15th August 2012.  Then we'll contact you with all the details.

We'll have a blog page set up soon and will supply a link once completed.

Kindest regards.

Ohh! How wonderful.

I've just sent a link to a few handfuls of films we have made in the past couple of years. One has been shown at a SP convention in the USA last year already. You are most welcome to show any you would like to.
Let me know if you need them in a higher than Youtube format.

Looking forward to it- top idea.
A certain internet TV channel soon to be launched by my good self and Capt H. Bartholomew may well be interested in content, too...
He would have commented himself but has mislaid his password and has his suspicions that his reminder has been sent to an e-mail address that no longer exists. (age and infirmity come to us all...)
So it comes to me instead to participate (a little more successfully than he) in this good community!
Once my aged computer and the forum start to talk to each other regarding my profile picture I might look a little less anonymous. Until then, I must remain enigmatic and a little sinister...

Hello Violet,

If you could send a email to the address below with your contact details, we'll forward on the filmmakers email, so you can contact them direct. As this is the first year, we're K.I.S.'ing it.

But maybe we can sort something out for next year...live streams of screenings/ interviews with cast/crew that attend the event. etc.

Good luck with your new venture.

Many thanks!
Will do that presently. We do have certain requirements for submissions but are happy to consider anything and everything.
Nice to hear that you aren't charging for submissions. Entering into numerous film festivals ends up being so expensive after a while!

Fabulous!!!

I look forward to seeing what emerges.  Let's hope it becomes a growing consern!

Perhaps in the future we could consider satellite screenings in the antipodes?  Could be fun  Cheesy
