 Gears on the dial, that rotate, but are non-functional.  The centre gear is affixed to the dial, surrounding teh cannon pinion, but not attached to the cannon pinion.
The outer planetary gear is affixed to the minute hand and is free rotating.. It gives the illusion of driving the watch when it's really the watch driving the gears.
For some odd reason, this pic from the manufacturer has a screw missing from the dial..

hah. That's fun. Not my favorite, and would be nice if the gears were a bit more functional. But fun.
