This is from one of my members that serves on the Green Cove Springs Historical Society Board.

I would like to cordially invite the members of the Cowford Steampunk Society to attend the Seventeenth Annual Railroad and History Festival will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the Historic Triangle which sits on the corner of Ferris St. and Gratio Place in Green Cove Springs.

The Festival is a day of free family entertainment offered by the Society as a gift to the community. Those in attendance are encouraged to tour the historic buildings on the property which include the 1889 Courthouse and Jail as well as the Society Museum of local history and the extensive Railroad Collection. The Museum itself is full of Victoriana.

The Festival will feature among other things a Victorian Fashion Show and Civil War Encampments as well as demonstrations of crafts like blacksmithing, basketry, and spinning among others.
