Did anyone watch the new Tarzan movie? Is it any good?
It's kinda OK, not a really great film, but anything has to be better than that one with Bo Derek.

Christoph waltz does his usual thing and the CGI is not bad, to a point, (spot it a mile away).....

6 maybe 7 /10 for me. Worth a watch if you get the chance IMO.

I picture a steampunk Tarzan being somewhat similar to Mowgli in the new Jungle Book film - a person living with animals and inventing to fit in with the animals about him. Perhaps for example, his parents scavenged from their crashed vessel to build their house and Tarzan in turn scavenged from those materials to build his tools for survival within the jungle.

Meh. Why not instead combine Lord Greystoke (Tarzan) with Dr. Doolittle? A person raised in the wild would develop a special ability to communicate with animals. Thereafter dedicates his life to veterinary science... That would have more Steampunk potential.
