Illinois wristwatch

Greetings everyone!

My grandfather just gave me a Illinois wristwatch that was a gift to him when he was 14.
Here is what I know:
My grandfather received it for his first communion in 1941.
It has a 10k gold filled case marked S&W , says 17 jewels, and the back has a stamp of Illinois 9510. The face has a little wear, bezel is marred a bit,  and the band is nowhere near original. the scribing above the stamp on the second pic reads: W 3/3674M23 I am assuming that is a maintenance mark?

Here is what I would like to know:
What is it's year of manufacture.
What would be a proper band for it.
What does the TXD stand fr?


Any info would be greatly appreciated.

She runs quite well tho i just found her so not sure how well it is...lol

In the pic of the movement there are the words swiss and TXD stamped where the flash washed them out.

Still working the movement, but the case appears to match what Illinois called the "Topper, model B" case.
I suspect, seeng that it has a Swiss movement, that this watch was actually made by Hamiton, who had acquired the Illinois name and factory in the 1930's.

The "TXD" is a Swiss marking that denotes an imported movement.  These marks were assigned to individual US companies. TXD was the code that indicated the movements were destined for Hamiton in the US.  Another example is VXN, whcih would be found on US imported Lecoultre and Vacheron Constantim movements.
 There may be another symbol stamped just under the balance wheel. If there is, that symbol will be the stamp of the movement manufacturer. It should just be visible.
There may also be a number, which would indicate the movement model.
 More info as I find it..

Well without taking the watch apart i cannot see any other marks =)

Looking  at the design of the movemet, suggests to me that its an A.Schild, I'll just have to figure out which one 
You can also find Swiss Eterna, Certina , and Buren movements in these later Illinois, but this looks to me to be a A.Schild.

I can tell you one thing, it's LOUD
I was sitting here earlier resting my chin on my hand as was like what is that noise? It was the watch happily ticking away! Anything you can find out is a godsend =)
