As to where, there choice is the Pit'n'Pendulum- atmospheric but expensive- or the Salutation (Real Ale fans' pub of choice, eccentric- friendly.) It'll probably be more afternoon/early evening but as it's a Sunday this may suit most people?

The Salutation sounds like my kind of place, just a shame I work evenings/nights - getting up from work, slogging all the way to Nottingham by public transport and then back again to get changed for work is just too much LOL

I'll keep an eye on this area though and try to arrange days off to suit  Smiley

Looks like I'm going to have to book a table and whip up an extra big batchof Doom biscuits.

Also, Lady Felis has kindly posted details of this:

and as it's only 2 days prior, what the hell!

Good morning all. Lady E and I just wanted to say how totally delightful it was to meet up with you yesterday and we enjoyed your company immensely. Let's do it again very soon.

(Now if I can only figure how to post the group photo and the new Tower of Hats n Goggles so much the better.)

First and foremost please allow me to admit my obvious failings with technology. I am sure that I should be able to post an image here at the simple click of a button but I consider myself to be outsmarted. (Not difficult with the computer inept).  Now before I return to bashing things with adjusters (hammers) mumbling to myself manically I offer a link to the photo from the Nottingham Knees Up.

And the "rapidly-becoming-a-tradition" tower of begoggled hats.

I'm most vexed I couldn't come, but it was realy too far on the day Sad Still it looked rather splendid and I got to peruse one or two of the pictures!

I quite like this as a tradition- if it carries on a gallery of hat towers may have to be instated!

Now that's a tradition I could go in for! And I second the motion for a tower of begoggled hats gallery!

Looks like you all had a lovely time! Alas, I was otherwise engaged that weekend... I've spent many a happy hour in the Sal and the Trip over the years - usually "replacing lost fluids" after hitting my friends with swords at Nottingham Castle.

I've been on sabbatical from C15th for just over a year, but I'm in the Company Ecorcheur (Gloucesters / Warwick Castle Garrison). Et vous?

Well I was last year a "Neville-Clifford-Hastings"!! I will probably be the same this year depending on what events I gatecrash lol Nottingham Castle was with the Hastings aka The Black Maunch, last year at Tewkesbury I was with the Neville household and Towton and Skipton castle this year Ill be with the Clifford Household aka The Red Wyverns. If I go back further I can say I was in ECWS playing with cannons but that was awhile ago lol Grin
So add in to that I build Victorian styled curios to go in my cabinet of wonders http://weasleywez.deviantart.com/art/Tranzient-Gallery-112127312
I have an Ecclectic mix of period costumes and gizmos.
