I'd like to form a useful and up-to-date list of steampunk websites and I'm asking for your input!

I think it best if we maintain a few requirements, to make this list different from the "Steampunk Link" of Retrostacja and Aether Emporium's "Links Resource";
* Websites listed must be about steampunk. This excludes, for example, the official websites of steampunk films, etc.
* Websites must be recently updated. Most websites not updated for years are no longer useful. There may be exceptions, but I think we should try to include only sites regularly updated.

GENERAL STEAMPUNK
* Alrededor del Mundo "Steampunk" (Spanish) - Regularly updated blog about all things steampunk.
* Aether Emporium - Interviews and steampunk links.
* Brass Goggles - Blog about "the lighter side of steampunk". Now a group effort.
* Retrostacja: steampunk & pulp (Polish) - Features steampunk and dieselpunk chronologies and links; English version no longer updated.
* Steampunk Pics - Regularly updated with collections of steampunk imagery.
* The Steampunk Librarian - Blog about recent steampunk.
* Wings of Steam - Provides news on steampunk events, exhibitions and curiosities.

STEAMPUNK PERIODICALS
* Exhibition Hall - Reports, reviews and interviews.
* Gatehouse Gazette - Steampunk and dieselpunk e-zine.
* Steampunk Magazine - Steampunk e-zine.
* Structo magazine - A fiction and poetry magazine.
* The Willows - "Classic-Style Weird Fiction & Steampunk Horror." (Out of publication.)

STEAMPUNK DIY/PROJECTS
* The Heliograph - "Second Life Steampunk and Victorian musings," by Dr. Fabre.
* Steampunk Lab - A repository for steampunk art, costume, design.
* The Steampunk Workshop - Portfolio of Jake Von Slatt, augmented with reports on recent steampunk.
* Steampunk Bitz - Blog about steampunk DIY.
* Steam Gear Lab - Steampunk prop makers for film and art.
* The Steampunk Home - Steampunk home decor and interior design.

DIESELPUNK, PULP
* Dieselpunks "Steampunk + Dieselpunk culture."
* The Gatehouse - Steampunk and dieselpunk articles and imagery galleries with a focus on the "darker side" of the genres.
* Gearing Up - Steampunk and dieselpunk blog with focus on literature and fashion.
* Flying Fortress - Dieselpunk blog with focus on genre theory.

GOTHIC, MACABRE, Etc.
* Gothic Steam Phantastic (Dutch, German available) - Features personal essays related to steampunk, gothic and the fantastic of the 19th century.
* The Conservatory - Features personal essays and projects related to steampunk and the macabre.

Might I also add www.SteamGearLab.com: Steampunk prop makers for film and art. Not sure where you might fit it in, but we are a an actual business.

Thanks!

Thanks for sticky-ing this, Pheobsky!

Added "Steam Gear Lab" to the DIY/PROJECTS section!

Nifty, but I'm reluctant to add it to the list because it's not actually a steampunk website.

If you accept pages in Spanish, I would suggest.
Alrededor del mundo Steampunk. The first Blog in Spanish about steampunk that is updated every 5-7 days ....

Steampunk SP. Steampunk Forum in Spanish ... young, but with very good intentions ...

We are making an effort to spread the steampunk in Spanish-speaking places.

Pat Regan's VULCANIA SUBMARINE builds and operates functional replicas of the Victorian underwater technologies seen in Disney's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea; and the website VulcaniaSubmarine.Com tells all about it.

Its a pen & paper / tabletop RPG, all with flying airships and the better part of all the steampunk flare Cheesy

I'm trying to spread awareness of this site, as I think it's a great idea and can turn into a huge resource for steampunks if enough people become aware of it:

I don't know if anyone has appended Curious Expeditions to this august list, but they even have a steampunk category.

Curious Expeditions is by turns quirky, disturbing and fascinating - an exploration of curious relicta of the past - taxidermy, architecture, and other weird and wonderful impedimenta.

Folks in or near Massachusetts really ought to join http://community.livejournal.com/mass_steam/

My own attempt at a forum, not strictly Steampunk (it tries to transcend such labels) is http://forum.retrofuturist.org/index.php
... it's not very busy, and I really need to do more to encourage posting, but *sigh* just futilely attempting to keep up with Brassgoggles takes up so much time ...
