Ahaha, those were some of the best chocolate descriptions ever. Good timing too seeing as over the last few days I've been watching Lovecraft inspired movies, Re-animator, Dagon, Bleeders...etc.

Excellent Professor Brockworth!!
Not only did I quite nearly fall off my chair, like Mrs. Sullivan, but I whacked my knee on a table to boot!
Well worth it, I might add! I'm still chuckling as I type this.

It's from Laugh-Out-Loud Cats, done by Adam Koford. The flickr set has the idea behind it(*), as well as over 1000 drawings... http://www.flickr.com/photos/apelad/sets/72157600296941365/And the blog Hobotopia gets updated more-or-less daily with a new one: http://apelad.blogspot.com/(* The brief version is that long before the internet, the Laugh-Out-Loud Cats were a newspaper cartoon, and gave us the language of LOLCats)

Obviously a parody without "unspeakable" or "blasphemous', two of HPL's favorite adjectives.

Not to mention "abomination" and "insanity".

Noneuclidean and antediluvian were others that he seemed to like, as well. Either that or they just stuck out to me.

We could probably start an entirely new thread based solely on Lovecraft's favourite adjectives!

At least by the time the unspeakable blasphemous antediluvian abomination with the noneuclidean living space shows up to drive us all into insanity, we'd be pretty hammered and not give a damn about what it's up to. -Kit

Someday we should come up with a Reanimator based drinking game, and all try to procure a copy of the movie and watch it together...

...Then we all do a shot whenever somebody violates the laws of physics or invades the realms of insanity. Sounds fun.

Ah...if you want a Lovecraftian drinking game movie try Call of Cthulhu. It's probably the lowest-budget movie you'll see, but I have to admit that it is brillliantly done given its limitations. To overcome many set and prop difficulties (not to mention that the storyline would be tricky to screenplay and still remain faithful), they made this a era-appropriate silent movie. After watching the DVD, catch the "making of" in the special features--absolutely hilarious at times. I thought that doing a shot when anyone seems melodramatically overexcited, or certain "Lovecraft Adjectives" flash across the screen might be one way to go.

At the HPL Film Festival this year they had drinking game handout sheets (of course, no liquor is actually allowed in the theatre, but still...) which included such classics as- "forbidden book" "cultists in hooded robes" "human sacrifice", etc., etc. and of course my favorite - "tentacle crawls into frame from offscreen"

I didn't know they made movies after Lovecraft other than Reanimator... I remembered the Necronomicon which was rather weird and featured him as a character but...
