Krosp is adorable! And any housecat would sell you out for a dead mouse and pot of the ol' 'nip. Although one of mine would turn his nose up at one that was pre-murdered.

Okay, so we were a little premature in celebrating the end of the Cinderella story. But I think that "END!" in the lower right of today's page is a good indicator of the imminent return of the main story.

I would not be at all surprised if the Baron had a Digging Leviathan that we have not encountered before.
Because the Foglios would not introduce Mole People at this point, and the Geisterdamen would use giant burrowning insects.

It reminds me of the drilling device in the first episode of The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne. Of course, I doubt it will impale anyone.

I'd forgotten about that page!
Lookit the firefighter. It's a giant clank, but it would ALSO make for a GREAT costume.
Edit, after skimming some old panels: Man I hate Othar... He wears a damn turtle neck.

Looking back it occurs to me that they should make "Ask Dr. Eldritch" a regular feature.
We can always use another advice column, no?

I'm sure there was one in Bananaman as well.

I'm sure it was driven by The Mole, to spring The Heavy Mob from jail.

Ah! I remember General Blight with a mole machine, when Bananaman was in 'Nutty' comic, but now you come to mention it, it was the Mole in the TV cartoon!

Despite appearances, Grantz is a she.
Reminds me of a girl my daughter used to date.

*Looks back* So she is. Explains the slightly feminine features. Missed it because she doesn't have the typical hourglass figure of most Girl Genius ladies.
Damn Othar! I wish he'd just go away, he's so annoying! Who wears a turtle neck!?

Othar needs to be punched in the throat every time he tries to speak... or move... or breathe.

Turtles? Obviously! Is Othar a turtle? Of course not! Where does he get off wearing a turtle neck!? Yes, but he does add a nice flavor of randomness to the strip. He makes things happen.
This is Girl Genius we're talking about, friend. It's never wanted for a flavor of randomness.

We could ask Othar if he is a turtle, and if he doesn't give the right answer he owes us all drinks.
Personally, I now worry about the Baron's mental state. If he really believes that any plan using Othar will end in anything other than disaster, then that wagon must have landed on him harder than we thought.

This could be used as a way to get him declared mentally unfit to rule... a madboy that's just too mad for his own good.

Aha, but perhaps this is his Cunning Plan - all he has to do is point Othar at Castle Heterodyne, and BOOM . . . hilarity ensues. And by "hilarity", I of course mean, "trouble for Agatha".
