Ah the thing is that there were TWO Hetrodyne boys, Gil and Agatha could be no more than cousins, which by European Royal standards (no offence intended) is quite alright.

I think this whole line of thinking is too easy. Which we have been proven time and again that nothing is that easy in the world of Girl Genius.
I think that Gil is not the baron's real son as well, but i do think that he is something much more unusual than another Hetrodyne. I can understand why you would think this since earlier on everyone was say how it was odd she was the heir since the rumors all spoke of a boy heir, not a girl.
I do think its more interesting that the baron is afraid of Zeetha's people.. Could Gil and Zeetha be related somehow? She does have green hair but that could be just a girl based trait.

No. Not at all. Not with a last panel like that.

Furthermore, they've done the same over on Buck Godot in the last update, too! Bastards. Why do you do it to me?!

We know at some point that Agytha and Gil end up with the Geisterdamnen using some sort of time device, (vol 3 page 12, Bangladesh what's her name) so maybe this is the jumping off point where Gil leaves his father's empire and joins Agytha

The problem with Gil and Agatha pulling a Skywalker is that the Baron is aware of Gil's attraction to Agatha. When he mentioned this he gave no indication for such a relationship to be incestuous (though we are talking about European aristocracy here).

I told my mother and sister about this post.

She wasn't happy!

Regards,

Prince Albert Victor Von Pinderschloss

Sorry, I didn't mean to insult anybody's genealogy. I thought that was all water under the bridge these days.

I do think its more interesting that the baron is afraid of Zeetha's people.. Could Gil and Zeetha be related somehow? She does have green hair but that could be just a girl based trait.

I suspect that Gil and Zeetha are siblings. I note that while Gil has his father's hair, his face is very similar to Zeetha's, especially their noses. Also it would explain why Claus hasn't been able to see his wife in years.

As well as why Zeetha might want to kill Gil.  At least according to Klaus.  One wonders what he did to keep Gil alive though.

Since our heroes started in on the Castle Herterodyne, I've rather liked the place. Though even when it's working properly it's a self aware near perfect killing machine, it has that kinda crazy charm. The kind of mad zeal for its master that an armored mechanical guard dog would have, and you can see the desire of the castle to be rubbed behind the ears. So to speak. In all I liked the castle for all its quirks and homicidal tendencies.

Then I read today's page.

Now I'm scared of it. Or at least what's in it.

Anyone who's bought an older house that just needed a 'few simple maintenance repairs,' only to find that the thing throws new and interesting problems at you from out of the blue can resonate with the near perfect allegory that is Castle Heterodyne grumbles about the air conditioning, electrical, and other mysterious oddities in own house.

I wonder if they'll finally finish up the bit about the weasel queen. Ferretina, I think her name was.

I spent some time going through the archive for Othar's twitter account... I'd bet a bent brass farthing that the nerk is part jäger.

Personally, I'd love to see dear Agatha reeducate him with a honking great wrench.

Seven pages into "Holiday Nonsense: "Cinderella", we at least get this mangling of Sir Clarke's famous epigram:

"Any sufficiently analysed magic is indistinguishable from SCIENCE!"

It's true, too.  Wink

The beloved is currently using that as his sig (I am too, but on a completely different forum Wink )

I also initially read "mangling" as "meaning"
